I don't know what you're confusing a no movement clause with but there is no way the number of players with one is 90%.

Last year the the most was 6 (Wild) and the average looks to be around 2-3 players a team.

I was being sarcastic when I said 90%. It just seems like most contracts that I hear get released have a NMC in there. I was honestly figuring it was like 4 or 5 guys per team. With a high of like 7 and that team being one of the perennial cup contenders (CHI, LAK, NYR).

Datsyuk scored 30 seconds into his KHL career, and I have to admit, it hurt me, just a bit.

Seriously hope for the best for him.

Considering the Red Wings' fascination with state of Michigan players, they should move heaven and earth to bring Trouba home.

If I'm the Leafs, I'm definitely looking at trading for Trouba. I'd even consider a deal involving giving up JVR.

Leafs D core being Rielly,Zaitsev,Trouba,Gardiner, while having Matthews,Nylander,Marner leading the way for their forwards. Not a bad core to build around.

How far away are the New York Islanders from winning a Stanley Cup? Do you guys think they'll go deep this next season?

A Winnipeg journalist has mentioned that a deal involving Dekeyser may bring Trouba to Detroit.
I can't see that, but I'd love to.

Brad Marchand's extension with BOS is done. Should be an 8-year deal at slightly more than $6M AAV.

8-year deal is a long time, but the AAV is good value. Would think he could have received more on the open market.

I hate the little bugger, but that's good value for his age and production.
Boston did well in that deal.

Playoff team sure, but don't know how far they'll go. Their top forwards were healthy all year and were top 10 offensive team, but if they want to win the cup, they'd need to be top 5. Same with D/G. They weren't top 10 in goals against. They need to improve D the most and improve possession numbers cause they got top 10 sv% & shooting %, but aren't so great in shots for or against per game.

Losing Okposo and Nielsen but gaining Ladd, just don't see them being better than teams like Tampa,Pens,Caps.

Yeah, it's TB, PIT, WSH then everyone else in the East if you ask me. I do like what NYI has done and Tavares is the franchise player that he was touted to be.

I could see the Isles toppling that power 3, but I'm not gonna sit here and say it's definitely gonna happen.

Losing Okposo and Nielsen can't be understated, IMO. Ladd is a nice player and brings a lot of intangibles, but he's one guy and they lost two. Two good ones at that.

Honestly not fully up on them to say what else has gone on with the Isles, but if you make the playoffs anything can happen. Once my Flyers were out, I was pulling for them... which is odd to say about an old Atlantic Division rival. Glad they were able to break their slump and win a series.

Islanders need to be serious threats asap cause Tavares can leave in 2018. Give him a reason to stay, and he could be like Stamkos and turn down bigger offers to finish what he started. Don't give him a reason, and he ends up like Kevin Durant and leaves.

Per Dreger, the Red Wings will trade anyone not named Larkin in a deal for Trouba.

                                I would hope so.
I know the Jets want a LH Dman in return but I'm not sure Dekeyser or Smith are what they're looking for. Especially with Josh Morrissey on the verge of cracking their lineup.

But maybe they'd be so inclined if the Wings packaged Mantha & Nyquist in a deal?

I wonder what the asking price is going to be. I have to think Nyquist or Dekeyser will have to be involved as their current salaries are at least within arms-reach of what Trouba will get.

I really hope the Wings make this trade. Not just because they desperately need dmen, but for the simple fact that this team has been pretty boring on and off the ice the last few seasons.
Making a trade would help get me somewhat excited for another Wings season where the only goal is to keep this dumb playoff streak alive.
