Re: The Official 2016-17 Regular Season Talk Thread
lol ya. Giving up 10 goals in a hockey game! NHL needs to improve scoring. Fun seeing these crazy high scoring games. Doesn't have to be something like 10-0, but it's obviously more entertaining than a 1-0 game.

If that's the case you're not kidding.
I may have to get early tickets for the Vegas bandwagon.

Watching the MIN-COL game.
0-0 after two periods and a whopping 3 scoring chances for Colorado and 7 for the Wild.
Why do I even try to like this league anymore?
I've said it before, but there is no reason for fans to watch out of market games.Comment

I very much enjoyed watching it today. Thought it was a very well played game with some good goaltending.Comment

Until the Bettman group is gone from the NHL, we probably won't see any kind of changes like that in the league.Comment

Re: The Official 2016-17 Regular Season Talk Thread
lol, someone must have heard me, cause the Leafs-Canucks game today was great! Felt like old-school hockey tonight. Can't imagine what it might've been like if they had the old school home and home, back to back. Bad blood carrying over to the next night! At least the rematch is just a few weeks away, also on HNIC.
6-3 final score, which is nice to see a high scoring game. Bigger story though......
Rielly hits Hansen around center ice in a big collision. Seconds later, Sedin goes for a shot and in the process of shooting, Kadri nails him in the head, and Sedin actually scores on that shot. Literally seconds after that, Hansen comes speeding in and drops the gloves and fights Kadri. Kadri gets 5 min major and ejected.
Burrows spears Rielly in the chest with his stick and Rielly has to go to the locker room(no penalty called).
Later on, Dorsett-Komarov start fighting after Matt Martin tried fighting Dorsett earlier on. Dorsett gets ejected for instigator, and starts yelling at Martin as the ref is literally restraining Dorsett towards the glass to get off the ice.
After that, Rielly returns to the game and fights Burrows. I think Burrows got ejected for an instigator?
Then, Matt Martin goes after Canucks rookie dman in the Canucks zone, and Ryan Miller jumps Martin and everyone starts fighting. Then Leafs goalie Andersen comes down the ice and jumps the Canucks guys. Andersen/Miller/Martin all got ejected.Last edited by Majingir; 11-05-2016, 11:00 PM.Comment

The Kadri hit was bad. Cringed when I saw Sedin's head bounce off the ice.University of Minnesota Golden Gopher Hockey

Nice win for the Wild tonight.
Some rust to shake off after having such a long layoff, but they played pretty well. 2 points on the road against a good team is always a good thing!

I've had exactly this happen in EA's NHL game before. I'm sure there are horror stories from EASHL too.
