Nobody wants to be more wrong than me, but it's playoffs which means rules are ignored and the team which takes advantage of that the most wins.
I fear the same thing is going to happen in the Leafs-Habs series.
It will cement the belief that you can't win with superstars and a grinding style is the only way to win.

The amount of hits so far is crazy.

Bruins and Caps each had around 60 yesterday

Jets and Oilers anywhere from 50-70

    Preds and Canes around 40-50

Meanwhile Blues and Avs only combined for 45 TOTAL?

Did you see that crosscheck from behind that sent a Cane head-first into the boards?
      No call.
Clear breakaway in the BOS/WSH game, in OT. No PS or penalty.
It's open season on anyone with or without the puck.

That's the point. Theres so many hits going on because playoff rules are diff.

That's why Leafs got guys like Simmonds, Foligno, Bogosian, Nash. Hopefully they can be the physicality the Leafs badly need in the playoffs.

Losing to Caps and then Bruins back to back, both those teams being as physical as they are .

And now going up against the Habs who ranked 1st in hits this season, that might not go well.

I've been surprisingly pretty interested in these post-season games, considering I have no rooting interest (other than rooting against a few teams I hate). The games have mostly been good, closely contested games with good rhythm.

I also think having fans back helps. I just had a hard time watching the games without fans, even though on TV it shouldn't make a difference. [/end shrug]

Although my feelings towards both franchises have ranged from loathing to indifference over the decades, I'm pumped to finally watch a Habs/Leafs series. If someone had told me 25-30 years ago that I wouldn't see Montreal vs Toronto until the year 2021 during a pandemic, I would've said... "Yeah, that sounds about right."

Leafs vs Habs....don't know how I'll survive this series.

I barely survived the Raptors title run

Habs vs Leafs First Round playoff series with no fans in the stands and on a day when it's 30 celsius outside in Toronto. Weird times.

Edit: And Campbell falls down for no reason to start the game. LOL

Tavares could be done for the season!

Literally passed out on the ice!

This is scarier than the Muzzin moment last playoffs.

Barely 10 minutes into the series and Leafs could be without Tavares for the playoffs. This is almost as bad as it gets.

Dubas literally sprinted out of the box getting down there as well, not sure who he's calling, maybe Tavares family.

At least we got a thumbs up from Tavares, but didn't look good at all.

When the medical staff turned him over and immediately motioned for the doctors that was a terrifying moment. Good news is he raised his fist as he left the ice on the stretcher.

And right after play resumes, Habs score.

                        I hate hockey.

I'm forever grateful that NBC saved their worst ever scorebug for last.

Can't even think of watching anything right now, that moment was too surreal, and SN won't stop showing the collision every other minute of this broadcast.

Tavares trying to get up and basically passing out simultaneously and then the shot of Dubas literally sprinting out of the press box grabbing his phone to call someone, those are things I'll never be able to get out of my head.

Bryan Berards injury was one which has stuck in my head for decades. This isn't as bad, but one of the worst I've seen in a live game I'm watching.

HUGE fight just broke in the Islanders-Penguins game. Shifted to the entire momentum to Islanders. Tied game!
