This is the Bad Place. Even the Messier/Keenan Era only lasted 3 seasons, FFS.

Boudreau out as Canucks coach, Tocchet replaces him.

I would love Leafs adding Boudreau on their coaching staff in some capacity.

Matt Neitos career started with the Sharks.

He got claimed off waivers by the Avs.

He signed back with the Sharks a few years later

He now got traded from the Sharks to the Avs

Matthews out 3 weeks, will miss ASG.

NHL replaces him with Barkov instead of Nylander.

Barkov has about 15 fewer points than Nylander, but obviously the game being in Florida is why he got picked.

I know it's a skills comps, but that's LOTS of empty seats in Florida

I literally have no idea what Marners "trick" was supposed to be.....at least he had a funny intro video.

Good job Sportsnet...cut away from introducing the womens hockey players and don't even show or acknowledge any of what's going on so you can do a random interview.

The amount of times the broadcast didn't even show what's going on is ridiculous. Showing a replay 10 seconds after the fact is pointless.

NHL should just make it like the NBA, have 3 or 4 staples and revolve the entire time around it.

Accuracy shot should have more people and last 30-60 mins and be multiple rounds like 3pt contest. Then hardest shot featuring more people too with two rounds like we see for the dunk contest.

1 or 2 other secondary events added in too. More women's hockey player involvement too.

Bo Horvat is literally the Pacific islander. NHL couldn't change the asg roster, so he's on the Islanders representing the Pacific division.

That hockey golf event was actually cool. I'd watch golf if it was like that.

Bo Horvat signs an 8 year deal with 8.5m AAV.

As a wise man once said, that deal is too long and for too much money.

              Source? Islanders GM/President Lou Lamoriello.

He literally said that when commenting on Horvats deal.

Rumors flying around today that the Blues have traded Vladimir Tarasenko to the Rangers, with the Blues eating some of the contract. No word on the return yet.

Edit: So far it's Tarasenko and Defenseman Niko Mikkola for Sammy Blais, a '23 1st, unspecified 4th, and prospects.

Patrick Kane didn't seem the happiest about that move (Rangers were a destination he was eyeing).

I wonder if we see a big move like the Sabres jumping in and getting him (he is from Buffalo).

They have a shot at catching a WC team, maybe they try for Kane to push themselves over the hump. A chance to make their first playoffs in over a decade.

BLUE JACKETS had their pride night yesterday, LEAFS players (Tavares, Marner, Giordano) joined in.

Nice to see that compared to the NHLs "If they don't support causes we're promoting...o well, what can we do, not like we actually care about those causes anyways." Mindset.

Long story short, TV at work is on the Dallas/Tampa Bay game and I just had to get here to rant about those Stars uniforms. What the actual ****, why do franchises across sports insist on these fluorescent green/yellowish colors? Dallas on the NBA too!

They gotta have focus groups that tell them that fans like these colors, right? At least tell me they got focus group and it isn't just bad taste.

Chychrun scratched late before Arizona's game tonight against the Blues - could be trade-related.

Ironically the Blues are likely a stronger team tonight than the last time they took the ice before the All-Star break - they lose Tarasenko but get O'Reilly, Thomas, and Buchnevich all back from injury. Still gave up a goal in the first minute, though.

Don't think I've seen a team in any sport just being like "this guy isn't playing for trade reasons"

There's many things, not just in sports but just in general, where I just wonder how a company came to a decision because there's no way they consulted a focus group or any notable amount of people when checking ideas. The decision was likely made by some higher up's who have no idea what goes on beyond the sales figures and things at their level in the company.

The best 6 records in the NHL are all in the East; the worst 6 are all in the West. That's remarkable for this late in the season.

Speaking of records, at this point in the season I'd say Bruins,Leafs,Lightning,Canes,Devils,Rangers will for sure make it in the east.

Pens and Caps probably get the WC, but you have Islanders who are 1pt back (but played 2-4 more games), Panthers 3-4pts back (played 1-3 more games), and Sabres who are 5-6 pts back (but played 1-3 fewer games).

The west isn't as separated as the east, but the Flames and Preds are only teams outside the playoffs as of now that have a shot.

Stars,Jets,Knights,Oilers,Kings,Kraken I'd imagine all make it, and then one of Avs/Wild get the 3rd division spot, and the final WC will be between Flames/Preds and lesser of Wild/Avs. It would be crazy if Avs miss.

Not so sure about that. Columbus has got to be in the worst 6.
