Yep, just another Irish goodbye. No one even noticed we left.

Could be the best 24 hours in Leaf land in a long time if this holds up

        Good guys Bruins.

Cousins appears to be injured, hurt his shoulder perhaps, but he's forced to stay on or else he abandons the play in the defensive zone.

He eventually gets the puck cleared and goes to skate off the ice and to the dressing room...except the Bruins player shoves him right in the shoulder as he's trying to get off.

Leafs vs Bruins, this time in round 2, hopefully this time is different

Or not...Panthers tie it and we have rd 1 gm7 OT and the Leafs aren't playing in it because they're the ones the winner faces in rd2? What kind of timeline are we living in?

          Goodbye Bruins!

Enjoy the President's Trophy in the offseason.

Edit: It's going to be great for week for Florida scaplers/secondary market as I'm sure they'll be invaded by Leafs fans.

Leafs/Panthers round 2, just as we all expected.

Bruins blew a 3-1 series lead
Bruins blew a 3-2 lead in gm7 with a minute left
The Leafs came back vs Tampa after being down 4-1 in the 3rd

Like I said, what kind of timeline are we living in?!

I'm really new to hockey. I was gonna ask if this was one of the biggest upsets of all time in hockey?

I wouldn't say sports history, but definitely NHL history.

If we're basing it on win differential, GS with 42 wins (same as Panthers had this year) beat Mavs with 67 wins (2 more than Bruins), and an 8 seed over a 1 in basketball is much rarer than hockey.

But despite that, I had Bruins in 4.

Biggest upset in NHL history by point difference was Los Angeles (63 points) over Edmonton (111 points) in 1982 in the first round. It's a 48-point difference. However, they did play 80 games back then not 82.

Florida (92 points) over Boston (135 points ) is a 43-point difference. They said on the broadcast it's the second biggest upset by points.

No. Not even top 3 in NHL history (IMO). Would have to think a bit exactly where this fits.

                          1993 Islanders over Penguins
                          1982 Kings over Oilers
                          2019 Blue Jackets over Lightning

                          I'm not complaining, though!

Fun fact: The iconic Yzerman goal in '96 prevented the biggest upset (by point differential) in history. Detroit finished 51 points ahead of St. Louis.

You really have to feel for the sports fans of Boston here.

Would really enjoy an Avs loss here as well. Was in Seattle the night they had their first playoff home game. Saw quite a few jerseys around town. That’s my rooting interest now.
