Re: The Official 2024-25 Season Talk Thread
No move so far have felt like big or notable moves surrounding the deadline.
Maybe a sign the deadline will be good? Seems like whenever there's lots of hype that's when its underwhelming.
I doubt anything happens, but rumors saying Bruins listening to offers on Marchand. Some also say it's likely to a west team.Comment

Re: The Official 2024-25 Season Talk Thread
Well, that was pointless for the Hurricanes.
Red Wings nose-diving out of the last wild card spot. If/when they miss the playoffs again this year, I think the organization has to take a serious look at Stevie Y and whether he's done enough to prove he should continue to lead the organization going forward. I love the guy and will be forever grateful for his playing tenure in Motown, but 6+ years on, we do not appear any closer to progress than prior to his arrival. No sacred cows.Comment

Best seller's market in years and the Canucks are gonna let Boeser and Suter walk for nothing because Vancouver has maybe a 40% chance of making the playoffs and getting snuffed in 4 or 5?Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. Re: The Official 2024-25 Season Talk Thread
Bonkers day today. Have to rejoice stat the death of the Bruins. Cheers to all who've suffered. I'm sure the next iteration will be just as insufferable.
Carlo and Coyle gone. But boy I hate that Marchand is on the Panthers now----a team I otherwise like watching.
Stars win huge with scooping up Rantanen. Crazy. And they lock up Johnston too. Pretty solid.
Rangers moved some piece and got some things. Since they've played back into the mix I think the urge to totally blow it up got squashed a tad.
So many teams loaded up. Exciting.Last edited by TheMatrix31; 03-07-2025, 04:58 PM.Comment

But I have to give them grudging respect for recognizing that the jig was up and getting value from their pending free agents. You can't waste assets and win in this league (or any league, unless you're the Lakers). Even in giving up, they're sticking it to the delusional, pathetic Canucks one last time.Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that. Re: The Official 2024-25 Season Talk Thread
Mittelstadt not working out cost us Byram, Ritchie, 1st, 2nd and Zellers.
Will be looking for a new 2C next year when Nelson goes to Minnesota, however, they need to go all in during Makar and MacKinnon's prime years. None of it matters unless Nichushkin decides to stay away from the good stuff.Comment

Wait, the Wild are (mostly) free of the Parise/Suter millstones this offseason, correct? They really could add Boeser and Nelson to complete their collection of Minnesota Brocks!Originally posted by Thrash13Dr. Jones was right in stating that.
