Using the target indicator to set your power on ANYTHING is pointless. It only lines up your putt/shot left and right, not the power. However, If you have a 100 yard shot to the pin, and you're using your sand wedge, for example, that maxes out at say 115, you can bring back the target indicator to the pin to get a percentage. That number represents how far back you have to swing the club i.e. in this case, 87% of your full swing.

It works the same across the board with full shots, chipping, pitching, putting etc. This does not factor in things like your lie, the wind, or the elevation change between your ball and your target though.

Isn't golf great? Lol.

I can answer that one dbrandon... you cannot play with one the licensed pros in season mode (tournaments). I have pleaded my case for that with the Executive Producer once again (3rd year in a row)... I don't know, maybe next year :-(

Very boring, guess it was more work then they are willing to but into it. They really seem out of touch. I wonder where they come up with these gimmicks. I wonder how many people here at OS ask EA to put in a golf teacher? LOL. There are so many gameplay issue we have been asking for for years and they refuse to address any of them. I really don't understand except to think that they are marketing the game to the Wii age group of say 12-14 year olds. It sure seems that way. They seem so unwilling to improve ever the poor swing animations. Maybe Tiger charges them a per swing fee.

if they added a difficulty level where the putter works like the full swing (draw it back to determine speed distance -- like Links 2004) then I will buy this.

I can not wrap my brain around every previous version of TW where they dumb down the putter for the analog stroke to an aeeow.

Though addmittedly, the Links putting system is far more realistic and challenging, the TW method of putting doesn't bother me as much as it used to. Aside from looking totally stupid and far from realistic, putting in TW08 was far from easy, especially on fast greens.

To each his own though. I could see how this would bother someone looking for more realism. I'm just a golf nut and aside from Hot Shots, the pickings are slim lol.

I have on on tour mode and its tough for me.
sensitive doing the analog.
but i am sure for tiger pros it wont be as hard.
