The game is very good and has some issues, that's the reality. And my comment was directed at your dig at EA for ruining yet another sport, when in fact they've got several good sports games out now. You're 2-3 years late for the party with that comment, sorry.

2-3 years ago was my heyday, though.
Quit making your stupid YouTube videos and start playing the game.

I just finished a tourney at Torrey Pines. My results:

Tiger won (surprise!) with a -48!! Yes, that's MINUS FORTY-EIGHT. Singh came in second with a lowly -39. A couple of others followed with -37. Of the 155 AI golfers who started the tournament, the number who shot above par: NONE. ZERO. ZILCH. NADA.

All of this in gale-force winds the first 2 rounds. I deservedly finished dead last and missed the cut.

My conclusion is that any improvement you saw was a fluke (unfortunately).

I played a tournament where Tiger won with -43.

I am not a hard core Golf fan...more a casual fan who wanted to play a Golf game again (hadn't played one since Links)...

I liked the game. I think it's a lot of fun.

But the cpu scoring is just crazy.

It's not like other sports like Basketball or Madden where you are competing against the CPU and actually have an effect on the CPU.

In golf, the CPU scoring is completely out of your hands. It's just a number that flashes up on your screen.

For me, constantly seeing ridiculous scores flash up was just silly after a while.

I returned the game. I only play offline, so having to chase 30 and 40 under wasn't much fun.

Can this not be patched ? It must be easy to do but will EA do it ?

Sorry for beating a dead horse, but I've never seen scores that low. I don't think I saw any tourney scores in the -30s, let alone -40s.

And maybe it's just a coincidence, but CPU scores so far are much higher for me after the patch. At Hazeltine, for example, about a dozen players shot over par, with highest two-round score at +5.

I'm seeing lots of 70s and 72s, including from mighty Tiger himself. I have no idea how there could be this much disparity in the CPU scoring, but I'm pretty happy with offline tourney play right now.

As I posted before, I just won at Pebble at about -22, with second place about -8.

I just finished third round at Hazeltine at -5, and the lead is -11.

I had my best tourney ever (hell just making a cut is an accomplishment).
I shot a -9 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill ... I tied for 6th.
The winner (Anthony Kim) shot a -17.
I thought it was somewhat realistic, though Kim never shot higher than a 67 over the four rounds.
I was thrilled with my tourney ... and with my 4th round score of 65 (my new current record!). I also tied the course record for birdies with 8. A double bogey on 18 killed me in round 4.

Tour pro difficulty, of course. I refuse to go down a level.

I just won my second Tour Pro PGA Season Career mode tournament with a -26 total. Michael Letzig was one shot back at -25, with three players tied at -23. There were lots of scores in the low 60's in each round, though I never saw one lower than 61. It still feels "cooked" though. I'm not sure what the answer is, but we're all having a wide variety of results. I haven't seen anything lower than a -28 by an AI player through 8 tournaments in my season.

I wonder if it has anything to do with Live weather vs Random in the pga season. What one are you playing with?
