Driver--10.5 Nike Sumo Square (I hit it straight, but I think I get more distance from
my Taylor Made R5 that snapped.

Hybrids--Bobby Jones 3 Hybrid (awesome club). 4 & 5 Cleveland Hi Bore Hybrids.
    6-PW--Taylor Made RAC
    SW--Taylor Made RAC
    60 degree Wedge--Cleveland
Putter--Old school Ping --It will be hard for me to ever use another putter.

Balls: Love Pro V1's and Nike One Tour's. These are the only balls that I can hit and tell a difference from others.

I'm going to buy all new clubs this winter. Any suggestions would be great. I'm probably leaning towards Titleists or Pings at this point. I guess it will really depend on what I hit the best. I'm really pumped about getting some new technology and possibly adding a few yards to my game.

About a month ago I picked up a Hippo Hex2 Hybrid. From the first time I used it I've absolutely loved it. It may look a little odd, but at end of the day it works for me.

Now if I can get a new set of irons I will have my set complete. If I could only putt as well as I do everything else I would actually be a pretty decent golfer

I highly recommend the Calloway X-20's. There are newer versions but you can pick up the X-20's for around 400.00 now. Best purchase I've made in golfing equipment.

Driver: Nike SQ SUMO 5000 13* (in the market for a new one...lost my ability to hit it and I think the loft is too high)

Hybrids: Nike Slingshot HL 3-4-5 (can't hit these either)
          Irons: Nike Slingshot HL 6-9
Wedges: Nike Slingshow HL PW, Nike Ignite SW
          Putter: Nike IC 20-10B

Balls: whatever is cheapest ...I'm not at the point in my game to start worrying about which ball to use.

Same. I have an Anser 3 (cut to 33") and I love that thing because of its responsiveness. It's also completely unforgiving but when I'm on I know it even if putts aren't dropping and when I'm off it certainly tells me.

I can't hit my 3-wood at all. I think I'm going to get a hybrid to replace it. If I don't want to go driver I have to go either 5-wood (which I tend to slice pretty hard, but it's manageable) or 4-iron. Off the deck, I can't get the ball more than a foot off the ground with my 3-wood. I have to go to my mid-irons way too often from way too far out.

Well I'm still in the market for a new driver. Im so ready to get out and play. I can swing pretty decent now after some long theropy since rotator surgery.
Hope to grab one this week.

It's been a while but this is in time for the new season...

If you have that much trouble hitting your fairway woods you shouldn't even be thinking of hitting a 5-wood off the deck anyway. How often are you actually gaining from that decision? Let's say you're 250 yards out... well you might as well just plan for a couple mid-irons into the green. If your 5-wood is a slice machine do you think you're not better off over a large sample size pulling you 150 yard club and then a pitching wedge in?

Additional advice: if you're going to start swapping out longer clubs with hybrids then consider replacing your 4/5 irons. You cannot replace your 3-wood with one. You can get a hybrid with similar loft but you'll never get as much distance as with an equally lofted wood. Don't take that as saying you NEED a 3-wood either. That thing probably shouldn't be in your bag either given how you describe your adventures with it.

I've improved with my 3 wood a bit. It's still not a go to club, but I've made some nice shots with it. I'm still pretty new at the game, so I'm pretty happy with the progress there, even if I'm still quite inconsistent with it. My next golf purchase will certainly be lessons, probably sometime this month.

When I play, I'm "Iron Man". It's all irons (1 through 9, pitching wedge, lob wedge, sand wedge, driving iron & putter).

Hey guys - first post in this forum. Just wanted to make aware that there is a very poweful golf swing developed by Martin Ayers, and supported by pro Steve Elkington and internet senstaion Sevam1 (Mike Maves).

If you've ever seen Martin on youtube

you will agree that the information he provides is top notch. So he has developed a video (instant download) for $35. I bought it two days ago and results are pretty incredible.

I'm not going to post the website link because knowing OS, they will think I'm pimping a site or whatever. Just google, Martin Ayers, most powerful swing

                                something like that.

It's radical thinking - and not close to traditional swings - but it has worked for me so far - just thought I'd share.
