The easiest way to address this is simply make the pin placements as follows for the 4 tourney rounds: easy, medium, hard and hard or make it so the user can modify them to thier heart's delight. Delete expert pins totally from the 4th round so there is no need to patch the expert pin locations themselves because they would miss some and it would still be annoying. Leave the expert pins to people who want to play online with it or in Play Now although I have no idea why they would want to.

This would be such a simple patch (it better be done soon) that if it's not done then you know the devs don't give a ****. I guess I'll hang on to the game until the 1st patch because I wasted money on the DLC but honestly I don't have much hope as these guys seem truly clueless on how to make a proper golf game.

Simple? And you know this how? And if the Devs did not give a ____, they would not be looking into fixing it, would they? I thought your rant was over as you stated in your earlier post.....comments like this are really unnecessary.

There is no way to get it close except by sheer fluke.
For some reason almost every hole at Costa Novarino is on some sort of slope where a birdie is pretty much impossible.

Funny part is the only course that has proper 4th round placements is Augusta because obviously they copied what it actually is in real life. Almost every other course has at least a couple that are complete arcade holes that need to be played mutliple times just to get par. You woulda thought the devs would have looked at Augusta and figured out that's what proper pin placements are in a 4th round but I guess not.

Looking to fix it? Are u serious? It's been in there for years and has gotten progressively worse each year. I really don't care what you think so please don't respond to anything I say and we'll get along just fine. Please put me on ignore.

I don't see this as very difficult a fix. They don't have to move any pins. All they have to do is give us the ability to set pin difficulty by round.

I just went from 5th place after three rounds of 68, 70 and 71 to 20th after a 78 in round 4. The 78 was achieved by several save and quits on carnival pins and two fluke shots, a birdie on a severe slope and a bunker chip in for eagle on 18. I thought I was actually in contention before starting the 4th round, but the pin placements did me in.

Apparently St Andrews is just as bad where 3 or 4 ridiculous placements just kill your round. Saving and quitting and then having to start over again is so annoying too because it ends up taking like an hour to play a round. Guess that's better than last year where you couldn't restart a hole and had to start a round all over again. Now that was time consuming.

I can see how that would be irritating. I have seen a few pins like that so far and it does detract from the experience and needs to be addressed.

I'm playing a round on tour pro and I must say I'm enjoying it much more. Surprisingly my putting isn't really any better except for the inevitable 4 putt which happens. I'm still +1 on Banff which is a fairly easy course so I'm not really tearing things up.

Plus I get the presentation or follow cam as well.

Something to consider for anyone frustrated. While I know I can shoot better with this, it isn't that bad of an experience. You get your elevation and distance and can plan your shot a little better.

I'm perfectly happy playing on Tour Pro. I've shot a couple sub-70 rounds, but not many. I'm happy with the difficulty level.

Just played a hole online at st Andrews. Hole 7 made green in 2, then proceeded to 4 putt bc of a wacky pin location. I put the pin diff on medium also. I literally missed by maybe 3 ft to see the ball roll back. The others I was playing w/ got an 8 on a par 4 b/c of the hole location. That sort of thing should not be in a SIM game at all, period.

Another wacky st andrews pin. Hole 11 par 3 I 6 putt for 9 b/c of ridiculous pin. Downhill even if you tap it its 35 ft past and if you try slamming it in you'll be 95 ft downhill. Ridiculous.

Just jumped from Amateur to Tournament mode at Waialae to see how I would do. Shot an 81 for 18. Made 4 birdies, including 3 I putted in. Yeah I had some rocket putts where I messed up badly putting through breaks and whatnot, but as the round went on it got a little better. I think bumping my putting stats will help. I also think increasing the accuracy rating for sensitivity of the shot stick helped a lot too. I have that at 80 and all other skill ratings are between 55-60.

Although I'm not 100% sure, I think Waialae has some of the slowest greens in the game which does help with any carnival pins to a degree. The first time I played there, it felt like I was putting in mud. At other courses though, not saving and quitting would mean that an 81 would be a monumental round.

If the greens aren't too fast it isn't as bad. It is when they combine expert pins with lightning fast greens (which they love to do in Live tournaments almost every single time). There's some greens where you simply cannot stop the ball. You have to hit the pin or try again.
