As someone who has met Tiger and spoken with him for a short period of time, I never once got that impression and I am a former professional athlete myself. I get how he gets his reputation. Many feel he is an "a-hole" or whatever adjective you wish to use, but I see through this and understand he is about the most intense athlete I have ever met. He is intense inside the ropes with one thing in mind. Winning the golf tournament. Unfortunately, that intensity has also followed him off the golf course and he needs to mature and find a way to channel this intensity into other means or avenues. At the end of the day, I lost a great amount of respect for Tiger as a person after what he did to Elin. That being said, I have not lost respect for him as a Golfer or Pro athlete when he is competing and I admire his intensity and burning desire to win.

And if I found out some of my favorite's were idiots like Woods, I'd definitely like them less too.

But the fact remains we know what Woods is. And like I stated, I didn't like his smug attitude before or his poor behavior on the course. If he acted like Happy Gilmore, that's one thing. But he routinely acts like a spoiled brat who didn't get a toy during a trip at Toys R Us.

I'll continue to root against him for those reasons, just like others will root for him because he used to be good.

      To each his own.
      Cheers.
After i heard that dude was practically a billionaire and didnt tip. I lost all respect for him.

I don't care about the womanizing. But being soo rich and acting like the poorest person on earth makes you the biggest douche imo.

And about the caddy thing. Why does he have to sit home and twiddle his thumbs for 2 years??
The guy is good at what he does, why can't he go out and make a living while Woods gets his **** together?? Is he under contract or something???

I had forgotten about the tipping thing too.
One 'source' (take it for what it's worth) said he used to skip out on paying for meals and would get snarky if the restaurant tried to hold him up to it.
You can't always believe these stories but when you read the same thing over and over, you start to wonder if there's some truth to it.

Anyway, Tiger is 14 back of the leader today after shooting 7 over. And it's a beautiful day outside.

        Life is good.

With each passing tournament, Wood's is proving over and over that he's lost it and I doubt he'll win more than 1 more major.

Rest easy Jack. Your record is safe.
