I am the best position to finally win a tournament in my career mode (yeah, yeah, don't laugh). I have a 5 shot lead going into the the 3rd round at The Waste Management Classic at TPC Scottsdale. I have been in the lead, but never this much going into the last two rounds. I generally choke, but we shall see.

What difficulty are the tournaments in this CC? Is it always Tour Pro?Go Gators!Comment

Re: PS3 Operation Sports Country Club
I play on tour pro with green grids on and no boost pins or anything like that. I play on normal difficulty. I usually shoot very well in calm winds, but I start making mistakes in the windy rounds. I shot a 7 under yesterday at TPC Scottsdale to push me to 10 under with 2 rounds to play.Comment

Re: PS3 Operation Sports Country Club
Pretty much tour pro. Until we see alot of people posting ridiculous scores I think it provides enough of a challenge. We had one guy who was really good and he was dominating at this difficulty, but he has since left.Comment

Ah. I usually play my tournaments at 1 round in career mode. I don't know why, since it would give me course mastery faster and it's more realistic.Go Gators!Comment

Re: PS3 Operation Sports Country Club
Nice daily at Andrews. Look at -3 and say its easy to beat, but a few early bogeys cost me dearly. -1 to finish at 4th currently. Too bad we couldn't do a CC tour, with an actual schedule and points. With the apparent popularity of the CC feature, maybe 14 will have that option.Comment

Re: PS3 Operation Sports Country Club
Had a few really tough pin placements, especially 11. Needed to hit the right club. Came up a little short. Better than long or I would've shot worse. Thank God the green grids were ON!Comment

Re: PS3 Operation Sports Country Club
This might be a dumb question but how do you play in the tourneys for the CC? It always says I'm ineligible for the tourney but I'm listed as a member. I guess I don't understand how the online CC thing actually works.
Edit: Got it. Man, I feel dumb!Last edited by rollins8; 05-09-2012, 05:53 PM.Comment

Re: PS3 Operation Sports Country Club
I finished up my 2 rounds and end result was bad. First round was +1 after 5 birdies and 6 bogeys. Talk about up and down kind of round.
The second round just got out of hand. I had 4 double bogeys and 1 triple bogey ALL FROM PUTTING! I was 93% FIR and about 70% GIR But I had 40 putts. Yes, 40. I don't use the putting meter and it really threw me for a loop. I'm guessing that the greens of Augusta aren't the best place to get accustomed to it either. Hopefully I get a better showing next week cause that was ugly!Comment

Re: PS3 Operation Sports Country Club
No putt meter? Ouch. I finished -1 in the second round.
On a separate note, it says you get a free downloadable course if you link your account. I did linked it to the Facebook game, but I have no idea where to get the course.Go Gators!Comment

Re: PS3 Operation Sports Country Club
I think I was +11 for the tourney. No putt meter isn't all that bad, but I end up over hitting most of my putts. I'll literally hit putts threw the break. So when I hit them at the proper pace it breaks a lot more than I'm expecting. Hence, 40 putts in one round...lolComment
