Re: PS3 Operation Sports Country Club
Some good scores on the TPC Scottsdale Daily. MisterJonDough with a -13 under par, nice work! I came in 2 under. I missed at least 5 putts for birdy by 3 to 6 inches. Course is fairly easy in the length department, but some of the greens gave me some trouble. Putting is still very hit and miss for me.
Are you guys more interested in dailies than doing the 4 round weekly tournaments? We aren't seeing too much activity in the weekly tournaments, but we are getting some good activity on the dailies for the controller crowd.Comment

Re: PS3 Operation Sports Country Club
Thanks choadler!! I like both the daily's and the weekly's but like you said there just isn't much interest in the weekly's it seems. To answer your question from a previous post about difficulty, me personally I won't play anything below tour pro but I realize most people probably haven't had the time with the game that I have. Hopefully we can get the participation from everyone up and make some of these tourneys a little more interesting. Thanks to sportznut02 and choadler for their work as club gm's.

I would love to be a part of the country club but it only allows for 25 guys. Is there any room to drop dead weight that isnt participating?

Re: PS3 Operation Sports Country Club
Scottsdale was a controller daily? It let me play it with the Move just fine.
I'd be dropping my score by about half if I could keep from missing short putts...sometimes I just inexplicably leave them even shorter. Seems like you have to pull back at least a minimum distance for the game to register a putt as more than just a love tap.
My goal is to get my scores at least to where people can't tell if I'm using the Move or not.Last edited by bcruise; 04-19-2012, 03:44 PM.Comment

Re: PS3 Operation Sports Country Club
The natural progression of things will show that people will lose interest and we will drop people. So I will be monitoring that and replacing people that are not playing.. I am not going to drop some one if they haven't participated in a week (real life happens), but I will look at replacing people if there is no activity after a few weeks and there is no communication from them. That is only fair for the people that are participating and want to progress the country club and have good participation in the tournaments.Comment

Man, a good manual in this game would go a long way.Comment

Re: PS3 Operation Sports Country Club
Excellent. Brcruise, can you go into the weekly at Sawgrass and see if you can participate in that one as well using the move, if you have some time. If so, it looks like we have figured out that the move option to "off" simply lets everyone participate whether they have the move or a controller and we will schedule as such in the future.

Also, I am looking for people to give me some thoughts on courses for the next week's weekly tournament and dailies. Put your requests in. Try to keep it to the course disks until perhaps people have bought the DLC with their excess coins.Comment

Re: PS3 Operation Sports Country Club
Awesome, Okay so we got that figured out.
On a side note, Sawgrass pisses me off (I love the 17th and 18th hole though). I think on hole either hole 4, 5, or 6, there is a tree on the tee box that if you aim to the right (needed to due to 20 mile per hour winds), the drive will hit the tree branches above you and the shot will go like 10 yards. Don't know if anyone has had that happen, but it is annoying as hell.Comment

Also, to get our bronze accomplishment as a country club, we need to get 5 head to head matches up completed. Not sure if people are willing to do H2H games, but perhaps we could set up a time that people could check our CC lobby and pick up some h2h's. H2H skins could be lot of fun.Comment

Re: PS3 Operation Sports Country Club
On a final note, I think that our difficulty settings will look like this:
Tour Pro - swing set to hard
Meter: On
Green Grids: On
Boosts: Off
Spin: Off
Caddie: Off
Putt Preview: Off
I think this provides ample challenge and outside of Mister, no one is really blowing up the courses yet. We can look at changing things like perhaps changing swing to Expert or meters off when scores start becoming too low.Comment
