Re: Xbox 360 OS Bushwood CC (TW14)
And I'm not an expert in this game, I'm leveling my CAG and started with 0 xp. This is my first golfgame on console, although I've played all kinds of golfgames on PC for 25 years.
I struggling to break par on default Sim where best guys are shooting like -10 all the time. I understand that this game on Sim style swing settings can be frustrating, so I'm just trying to help.Comment

Re: Xbox 360 OS Bushwood CC (TW14)
I have quite a bit of curve in my swing line but it doesn't matter, I can find the "11 o'clock" pretty constantly to execute my fade well. Use your imagination and try to find different ways how you hold your controller.
I sit in my armchair and when I make my swing the controller is resting on my left thigh and I use my first two fingers together with my thumb to make the swing. My "grip" looks like I'm picking up the left stick like it would be a strawberry or something.Comment

Using two fingers to hold the analog stick instead of just my thumb, but actually using my right hand on the left stick and my left hand on the right stick. Yeah, probably sounds awkward, but I tried it just now on the controller and it feels comfortable. And it automatically puts the controller at a slight angle.
Going to take some experimenting, but I will shoot under par in this CC...some dayXbox SX gamertag: Indrigoth, PS5 gamertag: Xaegoth, feel free to add me!

Re: Xbox 360 OS Bushwood CC (TW14)
I think I might have finally figured out what works for me!
I switched the swing stick to the right stick.
Then I used my thumb and my index finger to hold the right stick, sort of like if you were holding a coin up to examine it.
And I have ZERO problem positioning the strike meter now with the left stick.
I also (and if anyone thinks this is cheating, I WILL remove it) put a tiny piece of white tape cut in a triangle at the 11 o'clock position on the analog stick guard (or whatever you call it) to give me a visual reference of where I am supposed to be moving the stick to.
While I am not hitting EVERYTHING perfect, I would say it has improved my shot by a good 80%.
Now it looks like my biggest obstacle will be reading greens.Xbox SX gamertag: Indrigoth, PS5 gamertag: Xaegoth, feel free to add me!

Re: Xbox 360 OS Bushwood CC (TW14)
Something that has helped me in the swing is making sure that when I pull back and through, I really emphasize the through to the finish. So the stick goes diagonally back and then all the way to the finish - and hold. So it's not a flick and let go of the stick - I never let go of it, until after the swing is complete.Comment

OK, I am going to have a restart on the tournament.
I didn't take a single swing.
For some reason my new settings didn't save. So my shot stick was back to the left.
Going to put it back to the right and HOPE it saves and try the tournament again. If it doesn't work this time, will just suck it up and take my +40...Xbox SX gamertag: Indrigoth, PS5 gamertag: Xaegoth, feel free to add me!

I do have to sit with my right foot off the chair and my left foot up though. I have no idea why lolPSN: SiiLv3RxComment

This is going to be sim golf, want people to have fun but shoot realistic scores. You are on the honor system as it pertains to you using a created golfer and not a pro. The honor system also applies to replaying a round, if you froze during the first try its fine but doing it cause you didn't like your first score is a big no no. There will be no boost pins used. If anyone is caught cheating you will be given the boot.

Been on the real links all day and couldn't wait to finish. Shot a 88 by the way. TW14 daily has been on my mind the whole time. Damn shame
