Any possibilities if getting our own sub forum. It would clear up a lot of this board. Just a thought.

Re: Xbox 360 OS Bushwood CC (TW14)
Please don't change the settings. It seems everyone wanted a Sim CC, but it is harder than what people thought and now want to change it so its easier.
IMO, golf is a hard sport that you have to get better at, practice, yes we talkin bout practice.
I shot a +5 at Torrey pines, but I was a +6 on front nine. I took my time and stopped gripping n ripping.
Please leave the settings as they are... It's golf people.
I would like to see the swing stay the same and as far as the green, grid on or off I'm fine with but certainly no beads.Joshua:

Re: Xbox 360 OS Bushwood CC (TW14)
The problem is, crouching to read a green only tells you either the average slope or the slope of where you are currently standing (not sure which).
I know this because yesterday I had a 20 foot putt in my offline career that I was going to try and practice reading even though I had grid and beads on. I crouched and it said 0.1 degrees above me. Problem was after the first foot which was fairly flat, there was a moderate slope that no WAY was just 0.1 degrees.
So how in the world would I EVER read that? Without the grid I just don't see vary many variances in the green.
As for the comment some people won't be happy until they are shooting subpar rounds every day. Not true at all for myself. With my offline career, I have settings where in my last tournament I shot a +2 and I was perfectly happy with that. The mistakes I made were mental and nothing to do with my inability to move an analog stick perfectly diagonal or see subtle variances in a green that just don't appear to be there.
My golfer is level 77 (I imported XP), so power, accuracy, recovery and putting are all 80.
And then there is the whole shot shaping on EVERY swing. That honestly just gets tedious to me. Having to practically throw up a gang sign when holding my controller just to get off a diagonal shot was just annoying to ME (respect to those who can do it and do it consistently).
Again, as I said in my post earlier, some just do NOT have the skill to compete at THIS level. I am one of those. I don't appreciate comments like "some won't be happy until they shoot under par every day", because that simply isn't true.
What is true is the game was EXTREMELY frustrating with these settings to ME (+41 ring a bell?) and video games are the ONLY thing I have to de-stress from a VERY stressful life.
Now that having been said, I agree the settings should stay the SAME (not that I have any say in it). There is a place for a CC like this. It is why I left without giving specifics on what I didn't like because I was hoping to avoid this entire conversation and the potential for the commish to want to change the settings.Xbox SX gamertag: Indrigoth, PS5 gamertag: Xaegoth, feel free to add me!

That was me and NO, no amount of practice is going to help me read greens.

We all have a say including you. You decided to do what any of us would have done in your situation. You moved on to what works best for you in regards to this game. Nothing personal here just sharing personal thoughts nothing more.

I play with a lot of these guys and I guess I don't want people thinking I am just taking the easy way out. I just know the limitation of my skills.
Like I have said, I honestly do have a lot of respect for the guys that can play on these settings...these settings are probably the hardest settings that are POSSIBLE (only way to make it more difficult is to turn wind indicator off).
It was NOT an easy decision to move on to another CC. I spent $110 to play with people in THIS CC. And who knows, I may regret it. Maybe I will get a LOT better at the game and somewhere down the road I might be able to play on these settings....I just seriously doubt that.Xbox SX gamertag: Indrigoth, PS5 gamertag: Xaegoth, feel free to add me!

I will say this:
I still get good reads from crouching with no grid. If you are 30 feet away yeah, reads are tougher. But you can still see general breaks.
On to other news, just put up a +21 in the daily. Had one hole with a +6 (think it was 11,whatever the par 3 is). I would say 3-4 holes a round I 'miss hit' a driver with Kinect that ends up going about 100 yards. Not sure what it is yet, but the rest of my game has really taken a good shape. Once I get some power to my game (my driver only carries 220 right now), the game should start coming to me.

Re: Xbox 360 OS Bushwood CC (TW14)
Advanced shot shaping, and grid on without beads is what i would like to see. i honesty dont feel there is enough variation in green undulations to read our putts, especially when the camera pulls away after you strike the ball.I am the lesson after the fall.Comment

Re: Xbox 360 OS Bushwood CC (TW14)
What's all this crouching business. Don't just crouch to the ball.Zoom to aim to the hole, flip it around so you can see the hole to ball track - you will be able to tell exactly what the putt is going to do. Your best read on the greens is from behind the hole.
Says the +92 (4 rounds) finisher lo.Comment

Was cruising at a cool +1 the through 15. Then real life happened and my Easter company showed up...needless to say I rushed the final 3 holes and ended +5. All good though overall happy with the round and am finally putting together consistent quality approach shots/putts.
My vote is to not change a thing to the settings.
