-2 in the daily tourney, -6 through round 1 of the weekly tourney. Was up to -9 after two eagles but unfortunately a couple bogeys brought me back to reality.

First two rounds of weekly tourney I put 3 balls into the water at 18th hole, made a 9 there in 2nd round. I love this game.

the bad drops annoy me. LinksLS had proper drop options for water hazards 15 years ago! How hard is that to code?

Yeah, it is like getting penalized twice for hitting in the water.

I was +1 going into 13 in the daily, hit in water, get damn near veritical drop, hit in water twice more, end up with 10. Had my best CC round going. Going to range before playing helped a lot, and no horrible shots (besides the water debacle).

Guys, sorry to intrude on your CC, but I just had to post. I've been following this thread since TW14 hit, and I'm flat out loving all the "horror" stories I'm hearing about Simulation this year. The Difficulty seems to be back in a TW game, and I'm so glad.

Every post I've read where someone has shot a +24, +92, etc... has made me laugh & want this game more. With each post I pictured virtual clubs being tossed into the pond, and real controllers being hurled across the room.

Needless to say, my copy from Amazon will be here tomorrow.

Trying to get a CC play date going, would love to have at least 10 people on the course at once just to see if it works. I'm sure weekends are better for most. If y'all are interested let me know.

I will have to ask my Mom if it's OK. Two questions though Rick

1 - Will your parents be chaperoning
2 - will there be alcohol and boobies?

Boy do I love Louisiana! Finished the weekly tournament at -19 (-6, -4, -6, -3). #9 gave me fits every round with that left side water. That is the definite course to practice your swing. Doubt my final score holds up but that was a fun 4 round stretch.

Sad part about it I'm telling the truth. Had this problem last year with our CC as well lol. You would think it was big $$ involved the way I act.

Not gonna front and act like today's Daily was a breeze because it was tough. I just couldn't get close to the flag. The breezy wind conditions and the dark front 9 made it tough. I bogeyed hole # 1 and was +1 though 8. On the back I was able to drain 3 putts over 15 ft and one was over 25 ft. The course was sunny on the back 9 but the front I felt helpless as it was just to dark for me too even see the hole on the longer putts. Even though my drives weren't BOMBS I was able to hit every fairway except for one.

Finished at -3. Helluva challenge and great call on this weeks venue. Mad props Bighoff!!!

Forgot the beer did calm my nerves, no shakes!!

I hear you man!. There are times when the sweat is bad lol.. I keep a small towel by me to wipe down when it gets bad.
There are certain holes I get to that the first thing I say to myself is "Oh ****"..
Then depending on confidence level I either grab my driver or wuss out with a hybrid....

Valhalla.....this course and myself do not get along. Had to grind out a -1, luckily my short game and recover shots were good. Putting was off and I missed a ton of FIR. Good times though, props to Divot. Now off to see if I can win my first web.com tour, tied with the lead right now going into the final rd. Only lvl 55, can't wait to get up there.

Considering the guy who creates sub forums is a member of the CC, and hasn't created one yet, I'd say not good.

That being said, if it sticks for a while, and the thread really does have too much to keep track of, I'll create a sub-forum.

I started playing "simulation" difficulty to get used to everything at max difficulty. I will say that I think the current settings with "very hard" swing, no fade strike meter, and allowing zoom outs to be a perfect sweet spot. Still can't read greens, which frustrates me as it was always my best part of game in LinksLS.

But, I think the CC settings give me a fighting chance to shoot around par if I get a little more used to everything. This is a lot of fun, I can see me playing this game a lot.

Anyone using the chat function?

Joined this weekend and played the first tournament, that's my +18 or +19 posted. It was my first time playing in Simulation settings, wasn't prepared for the non-straight shots at all. Hopefully I'll be closer to +10 next time...

I was really struggling hitting off the tee so I changed my swing style to Fade, from draw. Already I've noticed a huge increase of good hits in the practice facility.

I really feel like I'm starting to get the hang of the hitting now. First time I've actually using the practice this year, I don't think I've ever used it before.
