Good for Jason Day winning the RBC, especially beating out Bubba. Would like to see him take the PGA this year. Would be a good story considering how he battled at the US Open.

Day is too good not to win a handful of majors before he's done playing.

Well, well. Look at Tiger getting geared up for the PGA. How interesting would that be to throw himself into the mix?

I feel like he will choke this weekend because he hasn't played on the weekend for awhile. But I hope he can do it in the PGA and on Sunday the final pairing is him and Spieth going for the title.

Sounds a lot like what people said about Sergio for years. Though he does have the "Tiger Excuse" for a good chunk of his career.

PGA Championship at Whistling Straits started today. Can't believe the early scores posted. Winds are really whipping in the afternoon. Apparently you want the early start if you can get it.

              Pulling for J.Day.

(mod --- changing the name of the thread??)

Forgot we had this thread. There's been a bit of talk in the other one with some people making picks and a few comments about today.

Koepka has made 5 straight birdies now after opening with a 40 on the front. Wind starting to die down a bit.

Well, whoever is modding this can maybe combine the threads then...don't really care.

Nothing worse than knowing you're going to miss the cut, but having to stick around and schlep through another 5 holes or whatever on Saturday morning at the crack of dawn on a soggy track...

Wow, he committed to play next week.

I didn't expect that but that's what he needs to do to progress.

I think it's Day's turn. We were following Spieth when he made his first 3 birdies of his run then waited and followed Day for the rest of his round. That bunker shot and the par after he hit just a ridiculous 3 wood into the par 5 did allow Spieth to get back in it though. We were on the rope immediately behind Day on that sand shot. No idea what happened there.

Heading out to the course now. We're going to try to navigate the zoo around that final group because it should be some incredible golf.

If he doesn't progress into next year, I think the up to the minute Tiger reports are gonna fade. They're getting old fast.

We'll see about that. I had Day from the start. Clearly, each of them can get on a roll. Day needs to keep it in the fairway and maybe not always think gorilla drive.

Looks like tuning in around 2pm eastern is about the right time.
