Scottie Scheffler is inevitable.

It would have been nice if anyone in the last 3-4 groups would have blitzed the course and posted a score, just to make things interesting. As it was, while I respect Scheffler's greatness, the weekend was really kind of boring IMO. No one did anything other than sort of stay put, or move backward.

I was rooting for Bryson to post a crazy Sunday score and at least make things interesting down the stretch. Aberg was a breath of fresh air but never felt like he was going to win (even when he was tied for the lead). I fell asleep 2-3 times during the Sunday round and didn't miss anything, apparently.

I'm a big fan of Åberg. He went to school here at Texas Tech and looks poised to be THE guy in a couple years, if that long.

First ever major and came in 2nd at the Masters. That's pretty nice.

I totally forgot about that, I remember the Rose Zhang chatter and had to scroll back to remind myself that was the same guy you brought up while she was becoming news, it never clicked in my head that was the same name while I was checking the leaderboard

He's a big dude and doesn't have to swing hard to generate power, which is a huge advantage. It means he can theoretically be in contention for a really long time, so the sky's the limit for him.

Of course, golf is weird, and has a way of making seemingly sure things disappear at times, so we'll have to see how it goes, but there's no doubt he's the most promising young prospect in a long time.
