Re: EA Sports PGA TOUR Delayed
Bummer to hear it's delayed a whole year, but at least we now know when to expect it. Wonder if 2K will still be on the same schedule they've been on, and will now be the first to get a game out this August...Orbis Non SuficitComment

EA Sports PGA TOUR Delayed
That stinks, but at least we got an answer. Not like I would have been able to get a PS5 anytime soon anyways.
Here’s to another year of waiting [emoji23][emoji22]
On another good side, at least they did not try to rush it out the door by August and try to add the rest of the game later on like they did with Rory 15.Last edited by VoltSwoosh; 03-22-2022, 10:51 AM.Comment

Re: EA Sports PGA TOUR Delayed
I think you guys were right who speculated that this team got re-assigned to something higher priority.
I get the impression that they've done almost no work on this game yet
If they had -- one would have thought we could have a single 800x600 tiny little screenshot teaser of "something" by nowComment

As much as I hope it’s wrong, I have to agree , at least a small screenshot would be nice.
But maybe all along the photos in the course reveals have been from in game and it’s just that photo realistic[emoji23]🤣🤪[emoji851]

Re: EA Sports PGA TOUR Delayed
Me too, After they got finished promoting hot dog putters and massive hats, seems like they have got silent.
I don’t know how they compete with EA at the career mode with no majors. not even one.
I don’t even have to mention how badly they botched 2k21 career mode.

Re: EA Sports PGA TOUR Delayed
You know my take on 2K’s game
I think they should lean heavily into being “Super Mega Golf” and go to the wall supporting the third party user created content side and let the content get filled in that way.
It’s the best way around very expensive licensing that is only appealing to a portion of the fan base.Comment

Honestly, I’m wondering if I will even touch another 2K golf game again for a while, besides creating courses, I don’t play 21 too much as I hate the career mode, you can’t even play career offline for some reason.

Re: EA Sports PGA TOUR Delayed
Gotta remember the golf club games were essentially indie games. Of course they weren’t going to have the graphic fidelity of a triple a studio like ea. 2k21 was the first with a triple a studio backing. Hopefully now with the tiger license we’ll see some major upgrades. Seems like 2k22 or 23 will hopefully have nba 2k level support. Times are looking good ahead for golf fans and video game.
I'm more talking about the content of the game itself.
They aren't going to compete on real course licensing with EA and thus, rather than a really half hearted effort on that, I'd so dramatically prefer they fully embrace an even more capable designer and allow/enable/support far more customization of all aspects of the in game experience.
What sucks about them being even "one toe in the water" with licensed courses, is it ramps up the pressure on them to police the third party RCRs. Anything that gets them away from that would be great. I fully believe the 3rd party designers will make better versions of the real courses anyhow.
Don't you think?Comment

Re: EA Sports PGA TOUR Delayed
You didn’t have to use that at all, you can make the game pretty challenging.
