Only con I have so far is the replay system. It’s Annoying sinking a 45+ foot putt and have the camera on your golfer the entire time.

i turned off replays (and commentary, and menu music, and game music) and found the experience much better. especially on PS5, where the replay can add a long loading screen sometimes.

If you press the d pad directional button during the replay it changes the camera angle so you can see the shot. Not perfect but something.

It’s not just that though - I saved a reply of a hole in one I had earlier today to show my boy, and the saved replay had the ball finish in the rough.

Also, the ‘highlights’ from my rival leave a lot to be desired - a host of missed putts and less than average approach shots.

First thing I did in 2K23 was go into the settings and turn off the highlights...woof.

The replays and the rivals is not something I am interested in seeing at all. Aside maybe the idea of punishing you for short siding yourself where is the imprint of Tiger Woods in this game? I kept hearing oh he wouldn't put his name or get involved with anything that wasn't going to be top notch in every respect. I bought it and am anxious to get going with it but not happy with the direction this is going.

I took a quick trip to New Zealand yesterday. Came back today and my in-game currency is still stuck in whatever currency NZ uses.

Anyone else have this issue? Have a fix?

I would uninstall the game and re install. Other than that not sure

I have the same problem as Christian, but if I uninstall/reinstall, would that mess up my pre-order bonuses, even though they are in my transaction history?

Is one able to play (in practice/causal round) the PGA licensed courses in a non-tour environment (without stands, hospitality tents, crowds etc.)?

This may seem odd to some, but as a die-hard golfer and die-hard Tiger fan, this makes or breaks my purchase decision for this game: is Tiger's swing mo-capped or does he have some generic motion?

My understanding is they mo capped no one but used some kind of computer recognition thingee. The pro swings look decent though.

OK so I fired it up immediately. Nicer screens way complicated at first glance but I guess you get used to it.
Player customization is a step backwards.
No practice just fired up the game actually before the update file loaded so only Boston was available.
Same setup as 21 but used Pro rather than Master. The game is just slightly better graphically. I think the long game might be easier but it's been a while since I played Pro so not sure. The long game is fine.
The chipping was not as bad as I thought it would be but the motion is strange and stabby. I would hope they do something about that but I doubt it. The putting is other wordly awful you can barely bring the putter back at all. I guess you could get used to it but it is borderline game breaker for me.
I managed one birdie shot 83.
The player stands too close to the ball kinda disconcerting and while putting the putter is brought outside the line on what little backswing there is.

I'll eat the $65 bucks and hope the game grows on me. I think there might have been other ways to make the short game more difficult they should have never messed with the putting. Better than a stick in the eye.

Works terrific on Steam Deck if anyone was wondering.

I couldnt figure out how to make my player fatter. Is that not an option anymore?

Game looks great and on pro its hard which i like. Golf is hard, well for me anyways. Lol

Ive owned every version of hb studios golf and ive never been good at it. Tempo is hard for me big time but i like thae challenge as opposed to older tiger games where youd shoot 20 under every round.

All in all im satisfied so far. To be honest i just really wanted a golf game for steam deck.
