Really happy to see the framerate for the PC version!!! Can't wait to play it now, even more than before.

Some good stuff in there, shame they weren’t able to figure out a 60FPS mode for PS5 but it is what it is. Everything regarding cameras and shot shaping seems to indicate they’re going back to a more TW14 approach vs building off of Rory, which is good. Also nice confirmation that we can turn the crowds and structures off

          Main bummers for me are..

          - It's still a version of "dial a distance" and scoring well will require fiddling with that all the time versus getting good at controlling your analog swing

          - No weather -- that one really bums me out, particularly with how amazing that would look and how well it could be done on next-gen tech

Thanks Steve for getting my playoff question answered!

Very excited to try this out. I think I'm leaning towards the PC version since it will have 60 fps.

Same -- I wonder if there's any chance of that ever changing..
                I'd guess not.

I'm sort of blown away the PS5 can't do 60fps to their standards

Thanks again Steve……All positive stuff with a couple of exceptions. The marker capped backswing is a bit disappointing but I like the sound of the advanced shot shaping. Have to see how it plays out but sounds good.

I very much like the change to "finish at the top/center is ideal" for pulling off shaping.

I never really liked the diagonal thing. I would always end up like adjusting the controller in my hand to, again, make it a 12 to 6 to 12 swing -- thus defeating the purpose really.

I sure hope we are getting some gameplay footage some point.

Like .. raw, normal, behind the golfer, playing some holes.

I'm guessing they won't highlight this, but I do wonder what a PC@60 vs PS5@30 comparison would look like. Probably have to wait for 3rd parties to get their hands on it.

As it stands now -- I'm not sure I'm actually going to pre-order.
I guess I should? But I'm also not really compelled to by what you gain for doing so.

Is there a fully offline career mode?

And is crossplay not a thing?
                        Coming ever if not?

Great interview. Seems like a lot was sacrificed to get this much content. Which it sucks for 30fps, but I’ll take that compromise for 30-40 courses and real solid gameplay.

                            Wait, so on FPS

Do we know if on a PS5/XBSX you can get 60fps if you dial back the resolution?

I'm still confused as to how much control of the rendering one has on console

No weather is bumming me out more and more as I think about it.

3 times of day and no weather?

We've had that in these games since like ... the 1990s

I was really hoping that would be such a cool thing on next gen with how amazing it could look and how it could influence gameplay and really make things always very subtly different.

I guess "If it's in the game, it's in the game" isn't the EA slogan anymore..
