I'm probably beat down on this after all the years of Perfect Golf, where everyone is a clone of each other, but with maybe a different color of the same shirt. lol

Don't get me wrong -- I loved the game face days of uploading an image and really making it "you" out there... Love to have that back, but honestly never expecting to get that sort of stuff again.
I would think we could expect more than a few face choices. I'm not loading my ugly mug into the game but the suite in Rory was abominable.

I agree it is low priority but they've had a lot of time to make this game and I would expect quite a bit here.

Reading between the lines there are only 12 Tour Pro’s in the game at launch. Maybe that’ll be a source of DLC for EA to get some ongoing income rolling in.

Not paying for pros in any golf game. Now I'm not quite sure after watching the interview with the Michigan Golf guy. Did they mo cap the swings of the pros or just the putting stances?

What they need to be generating income from is new golf courses. After all that is the key not a shirt or slightly different color pair of pants or another hat.

It's 2023 and PS5/XBox S high performance PC... not 1983 and the original Nintendo.

Player customization isn't about processor/gpu resources, but development time resources and feature prioritization

As long as you can change the face noticeably I am ok with that. Height weight that kind of thing. Realistic hair. Clothes move in the wind.

Same -- just some basic parameters to tweak and make the person somewhat unique as one sees fit -- that's all I need.

I do like lots of clothes choices, I will admit - ha

Yeah I don't wanna pay for clothes though. Only 12 pros in the game so far? I would think any pro they would approach would be more than happy to be included. Don't get that.

I saw somewhere in information/interviews (maybe here?) that everything in the game was "earnable" through play. I'm sure folks will be able to shortcut that with paying also -- great! -- I'm good with that as long as I can choose to grind for stuff --- all the stuff, which it sounds like we can.

I usually just do as generic as generic as it can be. Don’t have the patience for every detail haha. Honestly after 2k not sure how much I’ll use the pro’s if our created player has decent stats out of the box. I’ve barely touched them in the other game. Still waiting for someone to ask how the track man stuff will work with a created templet, would be mad cool if we could plug in our real numbers.

I'm excited for this game's arrival and have added a new video card to my pc in anticipation. It will certainly knock spots off the other game for graphics and presentation. If there are gameplay issues upsetting a lot of people at launch I feel confident they will be addressed. EA has invested heavily in this game and seem to have plans for the future (more courses, Ryder Cup...) They will want to keep all sections of the customer base sweet. Could be wrong but that's my sense of it.

So torn about pc or console. Traditionally been a console player for the TW series, got 2k23 on PC and while it looks okay, just something about sitting at a desk versus sitting on the couch. This FPS news has me bummed. Is there live weather on PC or it’s missing altogether?

You remember what they used to say when you were a kid about the word assume? If.. is a song by David Gates.

Same for me -- very torn

I've honestly been hanging onto PC gaming only for Perfect Golf while waiting for this game -- and now the FPS news showing an edge for the PC version is just killing me.

I'm so hoping we get some performance modes on console. Happy to trade some pixels for some frames -- but I don't think we'll be getting that sort of thing, if at all, by launch ... and I don't really know what I'm going to do here now.
