Anyone heard on when were going to get that course deep dive? Any recent press events?

We are half way through February and they stated it will happen this month at some point. So I'm hoping sometime this week or next.

What I was hoping for was each week we have had a tournament, so doing a deep dive into Pebble Beach during the Pro-Am an TPC Scottsdale during the WM Open would have been cool during those tournaments.

My guess it'll be the last week of February we get something.

        Reading over the interview again....

OS: Is progressive lighting included? What about various types of weather conditions that affect course conditions?

DB: We have 3 times of day for each course to be played. Morning, Mid-Day and Late Afternoon. Weather conditions are not a part of launch. So it will not affect gameplay.
To me this says weather is coming later on, no?? I'm not reading this as no weather period.

That's what it sounds like to me. It will remain to be seen though.

If it was coming for sure down the road like 3 click then they would have stated we are working on it be patient it is coming. This way if it doesn't make it in the game then they didn't lie to you. Obviously they are having problems implementing otherwise it would be in the game when it launches.

The response also says weather (if added) won't affect gameplay then. So even if they add it it, the rain/sleet/snow/whatever won't actually have any impact on how the game plays. So, then what's the point?

Does snow, rain in Madden effect gameplay at all? Honestly asking, I dont play Madden anymore... Like do players slip on field, not catch passes, etc?

I'd honestly rather have dynamic time of day/lighting than weather, especially if the weather isn't going to impact the gameplay conditions at all.

Right I hear what you're saying but I'm also reading it that won't effect gameplay until if/when added.

No idea...last Madden I've played is Madden 20.

But if they are putting weather into a golf game, and it doesn't have any effect, it's absolutely pointless.

Just to compare, 2K23 includes a rain weather option, but it does nothing to the course conditions. All it does is make the course look totally drab and dark and adds a neon rainbow just off to the side of the plot. No one ever uses it, unless that want dramatic pics of their course or something.

I don't quite gather that from the response...it's a pretty solid "weather won't affect gameplay" in my eyes. But I do see the room for interpretation, and unfortunately there are several of these answers that brought more questions. Hope there's some clarification soon.

I'll obviously be buying it, but I won't lie ...

I'm really worried about gameplay coming off of Rory
Having devs say they tried something new and it made parts of it "too hard" ... scares me a bit.

                            Could be barreling towards:

                            EA PGA 23: AutoBirdie Golf!

Don't aim, just swing....watch your ball bounce towards a Bose Heartbeat moment hole in one!
Pick up and play .... easy breezy!
Add spin and steer your ball in the air, just like the PGA pros do!

You thought golf was hard? (it is)
                            We'll prove you wrong!

Unplug your controller and watch your player run right up the scoreboard!

The game is stuck at 30 fps. Any of you guys who think variable weather might be a part of the game are dreaming or want to play at 15fps.

I think it's going to be easier than Rory. Every time EA got extra shot options in the game, it made it much easier. The punch shot, the infamous choke option shot... which kind of became the 3/4 swing option in TW14. Just chose the shot and hit it, it's automatic.
