I don't think it's moot. The game is being bludgeoned by players on reddit, its Discord, and Steam. The VC thing is dominating discussion about the game.

Also, now, my career mode freezes before starting every round. Skipping events, restarting the game and computer, nothing helps. Two thumbs up!

Based on what I’ve heard, it seems 2K may be “waiting” on data with the new VC system to make any changes similar to with the old VC system. If they do make changes, I think it would be later in the week, probably Thursday or Friday. Reverting completely to what it was before feels extremely unlikely, and I’m not exactly hopeful it will be a great middle ground either. Probably some slight changes like upping the VC per hole back to 5, maybe bringing back VC to quests in a pretty limited amount, maybe giving out VC rewards for Ranked Tours to make up for the required entry fee that makes no sense otherwise. I doubt the price of anything will go down despite the cosmetics and Evo tool price increase being completely unnecessary imo, and I doubt the insultingly-low 25 VC rewards in Ranked Tours, Matchmaking, and Sponsor tiers or the 20 VC reward for beating Rivals will be brought to a reasonable level like 100-150 VC.

I've seen others say they've gotten this...only solve from my understanding is to restart the MyCareer with that player.

I hope not. It was way too easy to gain VC before. They need to decrease prices by 25% though to make it more balanced.

I agree! It wasn't so much the fact that they nerfed VC, it was the increase of the cost of everything on top of that. Just a lowering of VC would have been enough.

I see that 2k put the “option” for weather conditions in. Even though there is no weather, I do hope we eventually get some sort of different weather conditions.

Also is there a way to view the wind speed when you have the wind speed off? I’m just looking for the range of wind so I can have a general idea of what the wind speed is before the round while keeping the wind speed meter off.

The circle that the wind arrow is in is partially filled blue based on the amount of wind you're facing. About halfway full is ~12-14 mph, I believe. I actually really like it as a way of knowing around how much wind you have without having to memorize what setting = what wind speed.

This game is far too buggy. Somehow I can't see the wind meter or the lie penalty at all, even though I have both of those turned on. Yes, I know it's more of a challenge to play without them, but I'm not too good at this game, so I need them on. I'm shocked that people are calling this "the best golf game of all time" when it can't even get these little things right.

It’s not a level playing field though, you have to pay good money to compete with others. Really I’d prefer a 70 OVR Lobby but that’s not going to happen because it doesn’t encourage VC spend.

I'll be the first to admit this whole VC thing is a nightmare for 2k.

Just judging the game on gameplay alone it is the best golf game by far. Graphics are in my opinion better than the underwater swing fiasco EA put out last year. In many ways the game is a hybrid of EA and 2k and if you hate the game you aren't really being subjective.

I play courses not too much into the group stuff or the career so when I say 70 OVR at Legend is the sweet spot I am strictly talking about a solo experience.

You not seeing the wind meter and the lie has to do with the other aides turned on. I can't remember what they are off the top of my head, but once you turn them off you will see the wind and lie stuff.

Really hoping they improve Quests at some point. I was just given a Weekly Quest to finish 10 rounds with a Mizuno golf ball.

Unfortunately, there are NO Mizuno balls available in the game right now...

The lack of items in the PGA Superstore is ridiculous. Even if they were going to keep the brand name items behind the different seasons or sponsorships, they could at least have some generic items for use.


Oh, you want a different color shirt? Well, they don't have any and if they did you would have to play 30 rounds to earn enough VC to buy it.


Truly a shame because the gameplay is really good.

Got a cheap key for the standard game & have just installed but not all locker codes are working?
Is this a known issue or is the date expiration on certain codes. Launch day was the most valuable & say’s invalid?? Any ideas?
