The new Indy Car looks good from the front and kind of futuristic cool from the back. It is those side pods that make it such an ugly car. They also noted in the telecast that those side-pods will be default all of next year. It won't be until the year after that the teams can bring in their own customized version and hopefully improve the look of that car because it is just atrocious.

Yesterday's race was a joke. How do you start early? If I paid to see the event, which was a relative handful of people, I would be pissed if I showed up ten minutes before the start only to find the race 20 min underway. Then the entire end debacle makes me wonder if Indy is even worth following.

yeah, Indy and controversy have seemed to be best buddies this year. I just wish it were because of good racing, not somebody having their brain melt, because that's getting old quick. As for the new car, I just hope it's fast. I can get used to the looks.

I love Rally racing. That video makes me wants to play Richard Burns(The best rally game on the planet by the way).

Hey Chaos81,

You might become interested in this since you like the Colin McRae video of him racing in the 2001 British Rally.

I have several onboard Rally racing videos posted in my Arena. In particular, check out the one with some footage of legendary World Rally Championship driver Ari Vatanen handling SS16 of the 1983 Manx Rally. Incredible stuff.

And even though it's not entirely from onboard view, find the video where Vatanen is doing his run at Pike's Peak before the majority of this track has been paved. Unreal display of driving skills.

Feeling sick to my stomach right now after the crash in the Indycar race. Dan Wheldon looks to have gone headfirst into the catch fence, and looking at video, it seems as though his rollbar just completely failed. Really not looking good.


EDIT: Pictures of Dan's car. Looks like the rollbar and airbox is completely gone. EDIT: Just saw another picture that I won't post here, but his head is basically the highest point of the car. Doesn't look good at all.

Dan's car failed badly in that accident, his head was completely exposed to the catch fence when his car hit it.

I don't know if it was a fluke failure on his car, or something that was designed badly, this may cause for a ton of change in open wheel cars in the future much as to the affect that the fatal crashes in NASCAR brought.
