Anyway, what a screw up by Mercedes. Think that's the biggest team screw up I've seen in F1 since Ferrari and Mclaren screwed up Q1 at Malaysia back in 2010 (Probably not, but it's what I can remember), Mclaren deciding to go with Honda this year notwithstanding. :brickwork At least Jenson scored some points today, that's a start.

You figure F1 engineers would be able to do basic math.

They cost him the race and the way Nico is running it could cost him Championship

Jules Bianchi "succumbed to injuries" after his brutal crash at Suzuka last November. First F1 death since Senna, and because of a tractor...

EDIT: Well, María de Villota did die a couple years ago during testing, but this is the first one from a race since Senna.

De Villota did not die during testing. She lost an eye but was recovering and made public appearances before dying from cardiac arrest in her hotel room.

Yes, but wasn't it supposedly related to complications from her crash, if I remember right?

That was a terrible crash at Pocono. I hope Wilson is okay, but it doesn't sound good...

Little worrying that they covered his car up and aren't letting photographers near it. Hoping for the best, Justin has always come across as a great guy.

Sounds like he's in a coma and in critical condition.

This is gonna bring the closed cockpit discussion back.

Also in Spa, Vettel's tire blew up going down the Kennel straight. Wasn't due to wear either, it was a structural failure. If that happened at Eau Rouge/Radillon, we're looking a terrible weekend of racing.

Yes, the presser is airing now. Sad.

Pirelli issued a statement in the aftermath of the tire issues at Spa.

Pirelli drew hefty criticism after the previous Grand Prix in Belgium after numerous tyre failures marred the weekends racing. After a full track inspection and review into the weekends events, Pirelli have released an official statement of their findings, and hopes to work with the FIA in order...

Alexander Rossi is making his F1 debut with Manor this weekend and will run a few more races the rest of the year. Can't really expect much in the Manor, but it'll be good to see an American in F1 again.

I'm still upset Haas F1 didn't sign him to drive. It would've been awesome to have a US driver driving for the first US team in decades.

I still wish him the best!
