The Pepsi 400. IAm so pumped. Never been to a race before. Wasn't much of a nascar fan until My best friend taught me more about the sport. It'll be a long road trip but I am pumped!

Should be a freaking blast.. I went to the race in a atlanta a few months ago. It was my first race as well. The first 10 laps of the race was like smoking crack.. I don't know if I will ever get that high back again. It was awesome.
I am sure you have been told, but BRING EAR PLUGS! I did not listen to people when they told me this.. so I had to go without.. but trust me, bring them. If you don't want to use them , you don't have to but at least you will have them.

yup - you will be hooked. I was not a big fan till I went... now NASCAR is my 3rd fav sport and moving up quickly!

Better yet, rent a scanner and headphones from one of the trackside vendors. They should be preprogrammed or they may have a driver frequency list for programming it. The headphone muffle the sound and you gdet to listen to the drivers talke to their crew chiefs and spotters. It opens up a whole new level of learning about the strategy and the technical aspects of the sport. I have been to at least one Cup race a year for the past 7 years. CAUTION! After you go once, you will want to go back every chance you get.
