I didn't know they did that...that sounds really cool...as a side note, are you a fan of any Missouri sports teams?

Re: Going to my first nascar race...
If you want to see a REALLY good race, go to the 2-mile D-ovals or short tracks. Those are much better than superspeedway races (but I've never been to a SS race). But going to the race is over 20,000 times better than watching them on TV (no commercials). I usually catch 4 races a year (I'm smack dab in the middle of NASCAR country): the 2 at NC Speedway, and the 2 at Bristol (Bristol is the best ticket you can buy, if you can get through the waiting list) (I used to go to Charlotte/Lowe's, but 600 miles there is a bit boring). I guarantee you will have an awesome time there. Just watching the race in person will almost get anybody hooked. If you ever get the chance, also get Busch series tickets for the Saturday before. Busch series races are just as, if not more, competitive and exciting as the Winston races. I hope you have tons of fun down there at Daytona (it's always a blast when I go, it's an awesome track to look at in person).

You will forever be hooked. I go to Talladega 2 times a year, the first time I was there I was hooked the first time the cars came by during practice. I turned to the people I was with and told them I was coming back for every race.

I want to go to Bristol so bad, but there is a 3 year long waiting list."They talk about the Alabama family not being reasonable and realistic. Well hell no, we're not supposed to be reasonable and realistic. We're Alabama, we're supposed to be the best."

Tide:
Why don't you scalp? There are so many corporate tickets floating around for sale at NASCAR Winston Cup races it isn't funny.
I went to Richmond in 1990 and got GREAT seats for my wife and I about two hours before the race for $10 over face value. And that was just when the big corporate money was starting to flow into NASCAR. I'm sure there are just as many -- if not more -- tickets being scalped outside Cup races now.
If you want to go to Bristol and pay the price, you can go. If there's a will, there's a way!
And to those who say scalping is illegal, so is jaywalking and speeding. And we've all done that before, haven't we?
Take care,

Re: Going to my first nascar race...
I can't even watch on TV right now, unless I head to a bar, cause the only channel messing up through my digital cable is foxI've got them coming in tomorrow to fix the problem, cause I'd like to be able to watch the simpsons without having the picture get all wacky
I want to see a race live one of these days, but I think I like the TV atmosphere, cause you see everything, get replays, and whatnotNintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
