i just don´t get this new trend to force players to go with just one savegame, what sense does this make ? Not only for careers, even grand prix (season or single race) are limited to a single save.

Seriously, why the hell is this becoming a trend with games nowadays ?

      PC Version:

I'm having fun with it so far! I did some Time Trials with assist turned on at the Australia track and wound up in the 100 rankings. Came back and did some with all aids turned off and only managed a 300's ranking. I'm enjoying turning laps and downloading the online faster laps to see where I am in comparison.

I also did some online with 4 other guys and we had 2 fun filled races (no AI), all aids off, 10%, and no collisions. I noticed some online warping/lag though but didn't hamper us since collisions were off.

This title won't replace my other sims in any way but it's tons of fun!

One more thing, I was getting bad stuttering after about 4 laps at some tracks. However, I found a fix at the CM F1 forums that eliminates it by modifying the replay file to read only to keep it from tying up my hdd with replays.

That's not it. More likely it's they have a ship date and they have meet deadlines and there's no way to kills all the bugs before the "going gold" date. I'm not defending them but all these games have release schedules and they have to meet them. And pushing them back weeks or months probably would hurt the game more than help it.

So over on the CM forums I read about somebody adjusting their front wing on the straightaway, I looked through the manual and found no mention of this at all?? Is there a way to adjust your front wing? Is it the d-pad? On PS3 btw.

They are also saying the ai is not affected by a full fuel loads or fuel loads period. Anyone have any more info on these two things? Thanks!

Yes you use the d-pad. Press the dpad once to see the options (one is wing, one is tires/pit strategy, and the other is engine). Press the dpad key again for the option you want and press it again to adjust from there.

From this menu you can also change your tires for when you pit, put the engine to cruise if they tell you it's overheating, and adjust the wings.

It's not just a PS3/360 issue. I've seen most of the big bugs so far. Some many times. Play enough and I'm sure you'll see them.

Yeah, I've had that happen twice so far. I've started keeping two copies of my save file (On PC) just in case something happens.

Yeah, but I'm also tired of the "gotta hit our release date" excuse as well. I like that consoles can be patched, but companies are now relying on this too much and it's killing the quality of games. Publishers now know they can release games that aren't finished and get away with it by promising to patch it later. And then, if the game sells well enough, they might actually do that.

Read the same thing and had the same issue. I turned off autosave, but I'll keep doing the R and D stuff to see if that fixes it.

Had a couple of the bugs listed in here pop up for me too. The tire on my Lotus keeps exploding

He got a puncture at the very beginning of the race

Still having a blast with the game despite not touching online yet.

It's starting to wear thin for me. For one, I absolutely suck at the game, just can't get anything going and can't seem to remotely finish strong. I don't know what it is either, I'm starting to wonder if it's the full tank thing compared to other cars not being full on gas.

I'm just frustrated right now with the game.

It's all about the qualifying. Take today's F1 race...Alonso led from the first turn and never looking back. My problem is on race day, I make so many stupid mistakes that I only have myself to blame. If I could run better laps, I would finish strong.

And I think codies nailed the constructors pretty much. My car simply has nothing and one little mistake and there's a lost second. I'm having a blast because they nailed this aspect of F1.

That's the thing though, I know it's on me, but my qualifying best so far is 14th. Ugh. LOL

Raced a 30% at Monza today and pulled a 2nd place finish. I made sure I pitted a lap later than everybody, and would have won if it wasnt for a damn 10 sec penalty for bumping a little too hard in a turn.

I am also addicted to TT and the leaderboard. I have managed to crack the top 450 for Monza( 123.7 ), and runN1st(OS writer) has the 25th fastest lap at Monza(120.2) They keep track of the top 1800 hundred I believe. I can probably get that down to around 121.5 or so....but I am not touching 120.2!

Turn off fuel simulation it evens things up for you. Keep Tire simulation on though. Codies let a lot slip though the cracks and they know they did, but their saving grace comes in two forms: Driving the car for the most part is very enjoyable even those annoyed as hell with the bugs say so. The second thing is the fact that people are just jonesing for an F1 game after so many years. I was gonna write a detailed review now that I've had time to get to play for about 4 days. I won't waste my time however. Codemasters are on some bullcrap they need to be in the lab working on patches as we speak.

From what I've read you can't. My guess is that they intended to program it in and ran out of time, but didn't remove the engineer telling you to copy the setup.
