rumor is they will go rescan the track in june or july.

Although scanning the tracks is one of iRacing's greatest strengths it is also their biggest weakness when it comes to tracks who reconfigure, since it takes so much time and money to rescan.

Phoenix is also maybe getting changed, so that will be another they have to do ontop of Silverstone, Lime Rock, Daytona. It is also the reason why Kansas and California have not been scanned yet.

imo , i would rather have a few new tracks than rescans to remove a bump on a track.

The new tire model has been delayed again and will not be in the next build. iRacing promises that it will be out this year though.

Finally after almost 3 years of waiting the Sprint Car will be released next week. This is a car I have been pushing for iracing to finish, and thankfully with the help of other members and everyone who runs the Silver Crown Series we are getting it.

Doesn't count unless we put a wing on it and run it on dirt. Until then I'm not too impressed.

not sure how you plan on running a paved sprint on dirt, that would be like saying because we have a latemodel we should run it one dirt.

How many have tried out the new updates today? The sound updates is good there is a line you have to add in your ini file to get it to work.

The racing at Talladgega and Daytona is so much better, I'm not sure what they have done but the outside line is working really well. I was in a 60 lap truck race that had 4 different people take the lead using the outside line. And it was good constant 3 and 4 wide with only 2 cautions.

I havent tried the f-mod yet. I did run some laps in the dp at daytona for the 2.4 and it feels better on the curbs. some of the guys are crying because there unrealistic setups are no longer working well

i ran the daytona 2.4 mixed class today for my first race in the dp. My main goal was to finish the race and hopefully finish top 10. Once i entered the race i noticed it was 90 laps so i thought i would try going with only one pit stop. My pit strategy worked, around lap 55 or so the 2nd and 3rd place drivers needed to pit and i took over 2nd place i held onto 2nd place for the rest of the race but needed to short shift the last 10 laps since i was pushing it close with the fuel. i ended up finishing the race in 2nd place with 0.3 laps of fuel left overall was a great time. def a long race ended up being 154 minutes long or so.

Here's my story: I got run over by a flying car that got punted by a crappy D-class driver, on Lap 1-1/4 of 90.
