I don't think the XBox's career mode differs at all, other than interface. I'm not sure, I haven't played the X version, and don't have any intention of doing so. When I can control it with a $1000 TSW wheel or a handheld gamepad, I'll choose my PC and wheel any day of the week, twice on Sundays

You like to get it in any chance you get how nice and expensive your racing set-up is?

Just wondering, I have no intention of getting a racing wheel for video games. The only driving I like to do with wheel and it had better involve a car that moves.

Anyway it looks like the X version might be good enough for a casual gamer.

Re: NASCAR Thunder 2004 released today

It would be if I didn't tear it apart .

Too damn big for the room it was in. When I buy a bigger house, it will be a "racing room"...just wait 'til you see what I have planned for THAT one!

And as I read IGN's review, more stuff is making sense as to why Thunder is so much better. Ex-Papyrus employees abound on the new Thunder team, and ISI (of EA's F1 2002, Career Challenge, etc) as the dev house? That is making a lot of sense to me

And no, JRod, I don't like to get it in at any chance. Matter of fact, I think that's the first time it's even come up in like 6 months. However, if there's a question as to different versions, rather than just going "I don't know, and I don't care"...for those people that have no idea why there's bias there, it helps to explain it.

What are some of the sponsors in career mode that you've seen ? Any great looking package deals ?

Haven't seen packages yet. You start out with the same sponsors every time...Food Lion, K Mart, etc. You have to sign them in a specific order (Hood, rear decklid, rear bumper, lower rear quarterpanels, then the associate sponsor over the rear fenders). I only got 3 or 4 races into career mode yesterday, because the controls were driving me mad.

Now that I've fixed that, I should get deeper into the game tonight.

Haha, I was just giving you a hard time. I know you and racing and console racing isn't too high on your list nor should it be with the set-up you have.
