Any Recommendations for a Racing Wheel?

My current wheel (Driving Force GT) seems to have been disconnecting itself a lot lately (unless it is my computer). I'll be racing along fine and all of a sudden, it goes out for a few seconds and then comes back (without force feedback oddly), though, by then, I'm already riding against the wall with a whole lot of damage.

Anyways, I pretty much race NASCAR Racing 2003 exclusively, though I may pick up F1 2012 when it comes out.

My current wheel also does not have a clutch, which is kind of a drawback. Given that I usually race stock cars, a clutch will add to the realism.

Any recommendations? Price is not a huge factor, though I would prefer not to blow too much money on it.

This is also for the PC, by the way.

I would say the Logitech G27 but for some reason it does not work well with NR2003 a G25 which I had before is nice works well with all games.

Okay what settings are you guys using in the Logitech profiler for NASCAR Racing 2003 for the G27? I would like to know if it's a wheel issue or a settings issue for my problems in it.

G25/27 is kind of expensive, but it does look pretty solid.

In what way does the G27 have trouble with NR 2003? Do some of the buttons just not work or what?

And how exactly is the G27 any better than the G25?

As great as that would be, it is just a wee bit out of my price range!

The steering is a bit out of whack but I think I found a solution I had the degrees of rotation set at the maximum of 900 for iRacing but it didn't work well with NR2003 so I dropped it down to 300 and it's a lot better, still wouldn't say it's perfect but it's good now.

Yeah, the G27 is the way to go as it has the functioning clutch pedal and 6 speed shifter. I have one with a Forza Playseat and it's a whole new world of racing. Love playing TDU2 with a manual transmission. Coincidentally, if you play TDU 2 with a wheel, try Sport setting, unbelievable feel and handling.

Interesting. Is it still working okay?

I am primarily getting this wheel for NR 2003, but I will also probably play F1 2012 and maybe iRacing down the road (though probably not iRacing due to the cost).

How is the G27 and improvement over the G25? They both seemingly look the same on the outside. Does it just work better?

Is the G27 Xbox 360 compatible? Anyone recommend a good one for the 360? I would like to get one for Forza 4. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, it is if you get the:

A bit off topic but I can't see a thread here for Project CARS or my search ability is broken? Both G25/G27 work great with Project CARS (on topic now..)

I think I have decided to finally get the G27 next month. I am going to get Game Stock Car 2012, as well, which should make the wheel that much more enjoyable.

I am still probably going to do the bulk of my online racing with NR 2003, though ... unless I decide to pony up the money for iRacing someday...

It has a leather steering wheel, too! Oh, the joy! The adjustable pedals look like a nice feature, as well.

                              I use a G27 and love it.

Just finished racing F1 2012 with it on the PC. I also use it for racing games such as Nascar the Game Inside the Line for the PS3.
