Re: Just picked up Sega GT Online.

Imagine throwing a bunch of legos on the ground. Got that image?

Now imagine playing connect the dots with the pieces, and going "there's one track for Sega GT, now throw them down again and we'll have the 2nd"...etc, etc.

The driving model in Sega GT is good stuff (great, even), but until they figure out that building a fictional race track does NOT mean "throw as many 90 degree corners, chicanes, and hairpins together as tightly as possible to make a "hard" track that has absolutely zero flow to it", it will still piss me off more than give me enjoyment. However, this 2-player online rally mode I hear about sounds nice. I'll have to gamefly it to see.

Post impressions when you get a chance. I really like PGR2, but the lack of tuning options makes most races online repetitive. The tracks in PGR2 are great, and I know Sega GTs wont be as good, but I really want something with more customization.

I haven't had a chance to play this game yet, but I've heard some bad things:

                              - No pink slip races. You can only race for cash
                              - Bad graphics on a bunch of the tracks
                              - When racing online, the race ENDS when the 1st place racer crosses the finish line. There's no battle for 2nd, 3rd, etc.

Again, I haven't played it yet, but if that last item is true, I can't imagine I'll be picking up this game. Not being able to finish the race if you're not in 1st place seems incomprehensible to me. I wasn't the biggest Sega GT fan, but I LOVE PGR2, so I was thinking about picking this one up. For now, I'll have to hold off. I've got to read a review to learn more about the options....
