I know my 6770 ran it full blown with no issues. I upgraded this month to 7880, so it's a moot point, but I would assume you would be ok with the 5770 - what type of processor do you have?

AMD Phenom X2 tri core overclocked to 3.5 GHz.

I looked up the requirements and the 5770 gets higher passmark 3D scores than the GTX280, but that's just one benchmark. My processor definitely beats the min, but the recommended is probably close. May not be able to play on the highest settings, but I think it should run close to it.

I actually have a GTX 670 2GB sitting in a box that was in my PC for a week that I could let go for half of retail price if somebody wants a card upgrade.

So are all of the single player modes playable? Such as the career mode, as it stands right now? Thinking Im finally going to take the plunge on this one. I held off on the console version.

yeah, the single races and career modes are there. multiplayer is not, and I don't think the challenges are there yet either. At least when I tried it the game crashed.

I tried to run some of the challenges, so I know you can do them. They may have crash issues for all I know, but I didn't experience any, personally.

Anyone using the Driving Force GT, if so have you found any good settings? Having a hard time trying to find the balance.

I am using it bot haven't spent a time perfecting any settings yet, because ti feels like every time they upload a new build small things change all over - so will probably wait until they are closer to final build before I start worrying too much -

I have found myself using the 360 controller more right now, because of this.

I set the wheel rotation to around 300 degrees and that helped greatly, only problem I'm still detecting is that as soon as you let off the gas it shoots the car to the right even when turning left on corner entry.

Exactly - my wheel does that minimally, but still does it.

Just hope they are working on Next gen consoles now, due to them already having the codes done for 360/ps3 and PC now.....so going next gen should be pretty easy for them,...

You can't make that statement unless you are actually a developer. You have no idea the differences in going 360/PS3 to PC or to PS4/One.

Question about the customability of this game. I was an avid player of NR2003 all the way up until the new points system ko'd me. What kept me coming back was the ability to:

Change driver names to people I actually knew

Edit driver ratings to mimic those people

Edit the schedule

Add fantasy/real world tracks that NASCAR would never go to (8Ball, Road One, Riverside, Blue Ridge, Lime Rock, etc)

And of course, keep the game fresh with updated/fictional paint schemes and car models

Sounds like the last one will be in the game at least somewhat...any word on the rest? I'm getting a notebook for school/gaming that'll play this easy, and I've been waiting for a Nascar game to finally replace NR2003, that old fart. haha

Haven't seen any way to change paint schemes on other cars. You have 1 scheme per driver so far. You can only customize your own car or scheme.

Bottom line, I doubt this will suit you if you're looking for an open-ended experience.

In response to this it is still very early in this game's lifespan. I imagine there will be edits and mods for this game that will allow him the ability to do pretty much everything he asked about.
