I'm gonna borrow this from Mike,

Pick the amount of cars based on the place you are picking, if you pick 2nd pick 2 cars, 5th 5 cars, and so on.

Place the driver who you want the most at the top, 2nd most 2nd, and so on until you fill the list based on how many you need.

As I gather the list I will mark off cars from your list that have been taken. I will then take the driver who is highest on your list, that is left.

Please send me a PM with your picks. We are all members here at OS, and it's much easier to deal with it all in one place.

If I mess up, please let me know ASAP.

Please don't submit your picks on this thread, unless you want everyone in front of you to know who you really want.

Finally, don't forget to have fun

That's about how it looks right now, but you would get first pick at Chicago for winning the regular season points. Correct me if I'm wrong Mo

franko is the only one with a real shot of that at this point.

Also, no bonus points for wins outside the top 8 right? *hopes proof stays in 9th or lower*

No bonus points outside of 8th...I had the most wins last year going into chase but when chase started I had to forfeit wins due to me getting the wildcard. I don't expect to finish first Im just trying to figure out where I will start if I don't get a win between now and Chicago lol.

I'd be foolish not to take the #16 with the first pick. Don't you think? Although, three in a row didn't work out too well for the 9 last week. Kenseth has been nails at Michigan, but that was during Ford's dominance of the track.

              I'l take the #2.

Yeah, really bummed about missing that pick. Going the whole season without any issues, then missing it completely with a few races to go before the chase just takes all the wind out of my sails.

You can go ahead and remove my name from the pick list, but I really want to see how the rest of the season shakes out.

You know what I just thought of which might be a good idea to implement next year. In order to be eligible for the wild card, you must be within 47 points (One maximum points race) of the top 8.

Why? NASCAR doesn't have a such a rule and it seems too arbitrary despite the number. If anything, make it so you have to be in the top 16, twice the number in the Chase like NASCAR if you want a restriction. And given Mo's current position, I'm not sure if he'd agree with either idea.

What I would want to see considered is a cap on the number of times you get to pick a driver. Would make it more interesting than someone who has a bad race, picks Jimmie Johnson, gets a bad pick and has a bad race, picks Jimmie Johnson, etc... There aren't many cases of it, but I'm sure it would cause some people to think outside the box a bit.

In the Cup series yes. Here? Maybe, but it doesn't matter as we only have 19 active now.

That actually brings up an interesting exploit (perhaps?).

Race #1 - Pick (Insert Start 'n Parker Here), Get 1st pick
Race #2 - Pick Jimmie Johnson, Possible Win
Race #3 - Pick (Insert Start 'n Parker Here), Get 1st pick
Race #4 - Pick Jimmie Johnson, Possible Win
Race #5 - Pick (Insert Start 'n Parker Here), Get 1st pick
Race #6 - Pick Jimmie Johnson, Possible Win
Race #7 - Pick (Insert Start 'n Parker Here), Get 1st pick
Race #8 - Pick Jimmie Johnson, Possible Win
