You can get easy setups in time trial mode.

Jump to a track, look at the leaderboard, click a name, get setup, save it with track name and off you go.

As far as setups go they help sort of. I feel like codies is making them matter a little less because people used to abuse them by slamming the ballast all the way back, running 100% brakes etc, they could take 1 setting and make it extreme and then use another setting to take any negative affects off of it.

Now all the settings seem to apply a more gentle affect to the car and it’s more down to how you drive.

One lame part, go look at france, people are cheating already, make the top time your ghost and watch what they do.

FWIW GameStop just sold me my copy. They had the release date at 8/20 so I was able to purchase as soon as they received it.

Indeed, and I'm surprised how quickly I've acclimated to the presence of the halo. Lovely game, and especially so now that I know the fix is incoming for the replays!

IRL this morning, it served Charles LeClerc well for Sauber as Alonso's car flew over his and scraped the halo up instead of his helmet at Spa/Belgium GP.

The PC port is a gosh darn beauty! So happy with Codies on this one. There's nothing like running the game at 1920x1080 and getting anywhere from 80-100fps.

On a side note, did they up the ante on the amount of feedback you feel from the track surface itself? Started my career last night which means beginning with Australia and man, my controller never stopped rumbling while riding around the track. Honestly cant remember if it was that prevalent in F12017.

Time to take Force India to the top of the mountain.

Got to play this a good bit Friday and and a lot of Sunday. Game is amazing. I am playing on a PS4 with a controller. This game serious makes we want to get a wheel and pedals. Maybe one day. Only complaint so far is the AI is stupid at times. Racing at Germany and had the inside line and the AI turns into me like I was not even there. It was after a DRS zone with a hard breaking corner(not sure what turn it was) A few other instances as well but that one was the worst.

Love the addition of ERS. Adds another layer of control and authenticity. Found myself running more laps in practice trying to figure out the optimal deployment for each track.

It is a great addition. Love how you can really sense when the AI is deploying ERS at a higher setting than you. They're definitely picking up time on you, and I find you also do notice when they're laying back harvesting too.



My only issue... its just alot to control. Too many damn button presses per lap if you're going to manage the ERS, and manually shift gears too. I need to find a better controller layout. Or maybe do some research into an elite controller to see if that will give me more button options to control ERS without the MFD/d-pad setup the game ships with.

Im working with Williams, the all canadian team of me and Stroll.



I also like how the practice programs dont seem as tedious as past. They're the same, but they seem... easier to obtain. Really helps with R&D. The new team goals as part of contracts are helpful too. Combine that, with the morale boosts you can give your R&D shops with the media questions that will reduce the costs of R&D, you can really improve a team this year. Of course, what happens when the rule changes role around as the season drags on, who knows. Haven't gotten that far yet lol

I agree with Brandon27 I am doing Williams as well with Stroll as my teammate. ERS manual is challenge as well. That’s exactly what I am doing in practice using finding the best areas for the different settings and the best place to switch settings without messing up line or timing. What a great game, R and D is splendid this year.

AI set to 60 (Hard), very few assists on, win Bahrain by 30 seconds...

Force India cannot contain my stardom.

Honestly, we all know drivers who make it to F1 know how to drive and drive well. Success comes down to the car/team, but i'd like to see Codies, somehow, bring driver stats/abilities into the game to affect your overall driving skill. Maybe i'm crazy.

Onto China. Force India #1!
