I play career on expert 50% length, 2x wear, full damage, strict flags, and stages. I use a FF wheel as well. I started in the truck series. If I can jump on tonight or tomorrow night, I'll twitch my settings. Most are on normal, but I have a few that I adjusted. I just don't remember which one's atm lol
I can't do short quick racing. Just doesn't feel fun to me that way. I like pitting, I like working my way through the field and the challenge. Quick racing just to rush through a career doesn't appeal to me.

Really wish sports games played to ratings!
Only thing SIM about sports games now, are the team name and players
    CFB 25 The absolute GOAT!!!
MLB 23 FOREVER 20 is better, 23 just for Guardians
Madden get rid of the extras (SS/XF, HFA, media, scenarios, game plan) or turn them down considerably.

I mean, it's good, probably as good as can be expected. Especially considering where the series has come from and that we'll likely never see an EA/Sony/Microsoft pour development into a NASCAR game. They way things are going, we'll be lucky if there's even a sport to follow in five years, much less a game to play. But that's another story.

In any case, NH4 is definitely the best game in the series. Shame about the frame rate, but I'm willing to get over it. (Again.)

If you like Career Mode or AI racing, I think it's easily worth it. There are dozens of races I can think of off the top of my head that felt very real. Watching the AI lose ground over a long run, choosing different lines, spreading out and really feeling like I was "racing" instead of just following the line around the track.

Intentionally choosing to save my tires, give up some short run speed, and see that plan work out on the long run (blowing by AI cars later in a run). Honestly, it's the best AI racing in any NASCAR game I've played, and those go all the way back to the original NASCAR Racing on PC.

I haven't even tried Multiplayer with it, but I've been so impressed with the AI that it's everything I hoped for as a single player game.

Now, about the lack of FOV slider, stutters on Xbox (it's fine on PC), that's another story entirely.

Awesome thanks. What type of settings anyone use that plays with controller? Also AI settings or level? Might pick this up today.

Is framerate on all platforms? Im on ps4 pro.

I haven't tried it much with a controller, but did dabble with it early on. I'm not a great controller driver (and some would argue I'm not a very good wheel driver, either...), but there seems to be a pretty large discrepancy in career mode between "Hard" and "Legend" difficulty.

I can win almost every race on Hard by a mile, but Legend it's tough to be in the top 5. It seems for Legend races you really need to have a good handle on car setups and tweak the sets at each track to really be good.

I don't mind that extra difficulty, but I'd really like the ability to run at about 102 or 103% AI instead of preset difficulties, because in Quick Race, that seems to be where my sweet spot is for my skill level.

Frame rate is trash on all consoles. I play it on an XBox One X and there's no difference between "Performance" or "Quality" settings other than speckled shadows. The framerate consistently dips below 30 on the front stretch of a lot of tracks, and USUALLY that type of thing bugs me to death. But in NH4, the AI racing is so good that I find myself not even noticing it much.

I picked it up on PC to run in triple screen mode, but I barely ever play anything on my PS4 Pro, so I didn't want to buy the damned thing three times.

One disappointment (so far) is that they haven't announced any further Legends DLC. I thought for sure the addition of Gordon and Smoke would lead to a few more Legends being added down the road, but it looks as though that may not be the case.

I started as a owner in truck series. I only wish more options to start. Spicy icecream sponsor kind of silly. So far 2 races, I race hard AI and controller. Finished 10th at ATL with some yellow flags timely. 24th at Vegas as I loaded wrong setup, Way to loose. Martinsville up next.

I just bought this on Friday in steam and it worked fine. Tried to play today and the game just crashes on launch. I get a black screen for a few seconds, then crash to desktop. Everything is up to date, tried re-installing, etc but no joy.

Anyone else having problems? Any solutions? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I saw that too, but I don't think there's any info other than that. Just said some personnel left but they intend to keep working on NASCAR games. I just hope it doesn't mean they're gonna start all over again like the last 2 times the company reorganized

What I gather from reddit is the esports division of 704 was let go, so it looks like that is no longer but the main team is still in place. Also there were some posts saying they were relocating from Charlotte to Miami. Interesting stuff, if true.
