Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion
I had to get Summer Games II (used to play that series for hours). Unfortunately, SGII wasn't the one with diving. Of the 4 that I played (SGI, SGII, World Games, and California Games), SGII was my least favorite, but I'm just glad to see that the are bringing these games out on the Virtual Console.Comment

Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion
Awesome news, fellas! You can now save WiiWare and VC games to the SD card, and it appears that large SD cards are now supported!

Sweet. Does this mean that I could get a 16 or 32gb SDHC card for my Rock Band music and it will work?Mario Kart Wii: 1203 9969 5095

Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion
Anybody have problems trying to hook up the Wii online. When I start it recognizes my wireless router but when I type in my encryption key it tries to connect but then gives me an error message. I tried connecting it to an unlocked router from my local library just down the street, thinking the problem might be my router, but I get the same error message. The error message # is 5133. Is there something I need for my Wii to hook it up?Comment

Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion
I used to have a problem getting my Wii to connect with a certain encryption type, so I just change to another protocol and it fixed it. This was right when the Wii came out so I can't remember exactly what encryption I was using at the time. Now I use the preshared WPA key one and it works fine. I think it was WEP I had issues with getting my Wii and Linksys to connect properly even though they were suppose to be compatible.Anybody have problems trying to hook up the Wii online. Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion
Thanx, I have a Linksys router as well. So where do I find this pre-shared WPA key? I got TW10 and I'm dying to go online.I used to have a problem getting my Wii to connect with a certain encryption type, so I just change to another protocol and it fixed it. Re: Wii Online and Virtual Console Discussion
A WPA pre-shared key is one that you make up. It's the same key that's in your router settings. If you were already using a key from before, it sounds like you were already using one of the WPA security modes in your router. Just make sure you know whether you're using a TKIP encryption type or another one (there are a couple of different ones in your router's Wireless Security). I believe the Wii gives you a couple of different options for the encryption type like TKIP or PSK or AES (which may have been your initial problem).
If all else fails, you could always change your security mode over to WEP and not use a key at all, but you'd have to do it for your router as well (and the security would a little more difficult to deal with without a key). When you do get it online, be sure to add me to play TW10.Comment
