I am a new member of the PS3 owners club

I love the machine. Looks really nice, is super smooth...doesn't make any noise...love it.

My 360 got the "red lights of death" come on...i turned it off...waited a few hours and then it froze once / played okay the last time.

I just got fed up with it. Nice system, but I'm sick of it not being reliable. Never buying a MS product again unless they get their act together. A machine that you never know whether it's gonna freeze or play is unacceptable.

What games you getting? I've got the Show and am renting NCAA right now. Going to try out APF as well.

so...I can't figure out how to get a music CD to play in-game. The manuals don't show how to burn a CD or save pics (from a camera via usb cable) to the hard drive. Any suggestions?

At the moment you can't play music in game. It's most likely going to be an option in the near future after a firmware update. To burn a cd to the hard drive highlight the cd in the xmb and then hit the triangle button. I believe this will give you the option to copy the cd to the hard drive.

Thanks. After the PS3 price drop I cracked open the piggy bank and got the last PS3 that Best Buy had in the store. I'm also glad it has the emulator in the 60 GB version since they are taking it out in the 80 GB version.

One of the main reasons why I'm holding on to my 60Gb. Let's pray and hope these don't bite the dust on us.

What games you getting? I've got the Show and am renting NCAA right now. Going to try out APF as well.

I am getting NCAA this afternoon on the way home. I plan on getting Madden as well. After that I am definitely getting skate in September and depending on how good skate is, I'll get Tony Hawk PG in October. I'll probably rent APF, it doesn't seem like a game I could play very much to get the full money's worth out of it. I haven't decided on which system to get Guitar Hero III on, probably this but maybe the Wii. I'm just going to keep going with my PS2 version of The Show since I am so far into my RTTS.

No, the actual hardware is in the 60GB PS3, the emulator will be in the 80GB... they're removing the EE for the 80 GB PS3, and going strictly emulation. So hang on to your 60GBs

I don't like the fact I gave up on my PS2 Show season after 111 games but I'm 6 games into my PS3 one!

Yup. We're all good with our 60 GB for the most games in terms of BC.

So far the PS3 failure rate seems to be in the low single digits so it's nowhere as bad as the 360.

Yes, which is a good thing....but you never know with these systems.
