It has been rumored, but no confirmation yet and the only confirmation we will probably get is once we have it... or don't have it.

This week I ran Folding@Home for three days straight. Didn't play any games lately and might as well have it do something productive. I must say, I am impressed. No freezes or anything. Bravo Sony. The cooling system is amazing and Folding takes up a lot of resources so it really works the PS3. I know it can go way longer but seeing it myself was cool.

    Once again, for Sony.

Also what happened to backbreaker? Haven't seen him post here in a while and miss his daily/weekly PS3 chatter.

I just realized I can use my PC controller in the PS3 (It is USB and analog, after all).

Hello APF mirror matches! (I did want to be able to play against my own teams, but I didn't want to buy a new controller just for that)

Really? I wonder if I can use my wired 360 controller? That'd be pretty funny. It works great on my PC.

What is protein folding and how is folding linked to disease? Proteins are biology's workhorses -- its "nanomachines." Before proteins can carry out these important functions, they assemble themselves, or "fold." The process of protein folding, while critical and fundamental to virtually all of biology, in many ways remains a mystery.

Moreover, when proteins do not fold correctly (i.e. "misfold"), there can be serious consequences, including many well known diseases, such as Alzheimer's, Mad Cow (BSE), CJD, ALS, Huntington's, Parkinson's disease, and many Cancers and cancer-related syndromes.

You can help by simply running a piece of software. Folding@Home is a distributed computing project -- people from through out the world download and run software to band together to make one of the largest supercomputers in the world. Every computer makes the project closer to our goals.

Folding@Home uses novel computational methods coupled to distributed computing, to simulate problems thousands to millions of times more challenging than previously achieved.

It's kinda weird....APF calls it a wireless sixaxis controller when (A)
it's wired and (B) it's not sixaxis, so it's a little buggy to say the least. Also, the controller is way too overly sensitive when it's on the PS3 - tilting it even the slightest bit causes full speed movement in that direction.

It's not something I could actually play a game with, but with the way APF did the teams, I needed another controller to pit my own teams against each other. And that's probably all I'll use it for.

Now that NHL is on the horizon and everything I've read or heard about it says it will be amazing I just can't wait any longer. Anyways I don't have an HDTV and don't really see the point in buying a 400 or 500 dollar set that will be smaller than the one I have now just so I can play in HD.
Dont kid yourself, playing on a 26 inch hdtv is a lot better than playing on a 50 inch standard. I bought a 23 inch smansung hdtv on ebay for $340, just find some bargains

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

The comic book ruled though, an amazing storyline. Can't wait to see if they butchered it for the movie.

So EA is doing the very minimum to make a buck. Im sure thats why they accepted cash from Microsoft to make PS3 games 30fps and a month later they are all 60fps (IMO)

Thing is, SPEs won't be needed too much in sport games. But EA mishandling the SPEs makes sense for lackluster games.
