The PS3 seems to have little to zero issues with heat, I would watch movies and play games consistently and never have any problems, here is the system stacker Im talking about...

Gotcha, I should be fine now, just got kinda nervous changing games and feeling the heat behind the system. Opening up the back helps enough, at least makes me feel better lol. I just thought that particle crap was tougher and hard to take off.

Closer to spring from everything I've read. I'd say either mid to late March or April.

I bought mine from play asia for 49 bucks the other day(on sale) with 6 dollars shipping. Since that will be the price in the US of A I picked it up.

I'm thinking of ordering the Nyko Blu-Wave IR remote for the PS3

Basically it'll allow you to use a programmable remote (like the Harmony series) with the PS3...I've gotten spoiled with only using 1 remote and would like to keep it that way. Gotta look at the Harmony site and see if it's recognized and research a bit more, but I figured there'd be others like me who want to use DVD features without another remote or Sixaxis.

quick question... with an adapter, can you use ps2 controllers for ps3 games? or do ps2 controllers only work with BC ps2/ps1 games?

EDIT: Also, should I be holding on to a ps2 memory card, or can I save ps2 save files on the ps3 HDD?

Probably will have to do updates, the ps3 will prompt you.

not sure about the ps2 controllers but for memory card, the PS3 will prompt you to create a "memory card" on the PS3's hard drive. Essentially it will create a portion of the PS3 hard drive to be designated for PS2 game saves and function like a memory card. Just be sure to go in and create the "memory cards" prior to starting a PS2 game, otherwise you won't be able to save your progress.

I guess because it seems this one is able to be programmed into a harmony remote, and at Amazon it is $5 cheaper than the Sony one. I have the Sony one and it's fine. If I used it more, then I might want one that works with my Harmony though, so I'm glad this one is out there if it will in fact let the Harmony remotes operate it easily.

I use my Harmony 1000 with the Blu-wave and it works great. The only problem is you cant turn the PS3 off and on with it but it controls everything else. Another plus is that Logitech has a Blu-wave setting so you dont have to manually teach the Harmony how to control the PS3.

Is the Blu-wave the Sony remote ?? I tend to buy more HD-DVD's over Blu-Ray just because I can control everything on the 360 with my harmony.
