No, the 40 will do everything the 80 can.

Not directed at you, but you would think Sony would be a better job at informing the public of the differences. This question gets asked a large number of times more than the differences b/w the 360.

Except for play PS2.

one of the cool things about the ps3 is downloading custom themes. For Free !

I know, I had to pay money to even get a miami hurricanes gamer pic for xbox live, which I don't even use anymore. Free is nice.

The major difference is the backwards compatability of the systems. The 60GB is the BEST as it has every original features.

That Dell offer is pretty sweet (especially with the HDMI as well). But just be prepared, I was told it would take 7-10 business days to deliver (I didn't end up going with them because I traded mine it at an independently owned retailer).

As well, there's $15 delivery I believe.

The 80GB was changed too 500 dollers once the 60gb was discontinued.
