Okay so sometimes I can download while I'm doing something else, and other times I cannot.

I don't think you can download while you're watching a movie, for example, and while I'm sure you can download while playing some games, other times I come back to the XMB after playing something for a while and I find that my DL progress has been zero.

Anyone happen to know definitively what you can do and what you can't while downloading?

It's weird, it's like you can only download for games that you can't play online for or something, I forget.

Either that, or it's all purely coincidence and it may just be up to the developers, like being able to play music off your HDD in a game.

PS3: Background Downloads

A background download will be temporarily stopped when any of the following operations are performed. The download will be restarted automatically once the operation has completed.
- When playing a Blu-ray Disc or DVD
- When using network features of online games
- When starting PlayStation®2 format software
- When starting Folding@home™
- When using voice / video chat
- When performing a system update
- When adjusting setting items under Settings

The "when using network features of online games" one usually gets you, because I think this includes the scores ticker in games like NCAA 09.

You'll be able to tell whether you can download during a certain action. In the download management part of the XMB it will say "pending" if the download has to be stopped.

Where do I start...the two -SEPARATE- eclipse multiballs, the two disasters summoned (and one completed - earthquake), the 250,000 point-per-shot feast frenzy that followed, or the half-hour long length of the game?

One of those Multiballs fired DURING the quake (which is a multiball round in itself), and I'd swear I had 5 balls on the playfield at one point (not that I could actually know that for sure with the playfield shaking and just trying to hit any ball that came down). Absolutely Freaking Nuts.

I haven't even looked at what that ranks on the overall leaderboards, but I bet it's pretty high. I was already in the 120's with my 17 million from before.

Give me a damn gold trophy, already. And an icepack.

Edit: 27th all time, 21st this week. And. - HOLY CRAP - the #1 Best One Minute score all time!!!
