I was able to play a full game of APF2k8, but NBA 2k10 is choppy and interupted with black screens...all offline.

Older games and demos work ok for me, just not the new games that always automatically sign you in online.

tried to play grid and it said my game data is corrupted and i need to delete game data in order to play game. daaaaaangit!!!!!!!!

So I got a Fat ps3 and so does my roommate. My ps3 could sign in to psn etc etc like most with this problem, yet my roommate is doing everything with his ps3 just fine...just another problem to add ontop of the other problems my ps3 has, first I find out my ps3 doesn't play CD's and DVD's, but Blue-ray is just fine, then I find out my system doesn't play psone games....and not this damn error happens today. I just can't win with this system wow! My Xbox 360 I used to have red ringed on me, then I just stopped playing the 360 all together when I got a new one sent to me, because it just doesn't have the games I wanted to play...I can't win with this Next Gen consoles... FML! LMAO

I can't even play Assassins Creed 2, a game that has no online component whatsoever. It says it's cannot load up the trophy information, and automatically sends me back to that browser screen.

I am also having the same problems with MLB 09 that others are.

i got finished playing my brother in NBA 2K10. ran smooth too. i think im able to play it because i disabled the auto sign/living rosters download a week ago.

funny thing though, now ASSASSINS CREED 2 and NBA 2K10 dont even show up on my trophy list. its like i never played the games. and i had numerous trophies for both. my save game data files all look fine too.

LOL, what a fantastic "solution" to the problem. I cant help but think Sony knew this was going to be an issue based on the fact that it mysteriously doesnt effect the slim models but with the collective bran power of the people they have working there they havent been able to find an actual solution. I get the feeling that there will never actually be a solution to this and it will drag on until late tomorrow night when the date will correct itself and everything will start working again.

It's likely not as sinister as that though. The ps3 has gone through many hardware revisions since release, and this issue may have been resolved years ago. Some people on forums are saying that CECHL models still work, which came out in 2008.

No problems with GOW Collection, but my date is set to Dec. 31 1999.

I have the 80 GB version by the way. I hope they can fix this by Tuesday.

I woke up and immediately turned on my PS3 hoping it was fixed and nothing so far. I won't be on my PS3 tonight probably but it better be fixed by tomorrow!

So I see that it's still not working and there hasn't been a update on twitter in over 8 hours. I wish I knew something, because there are plenty of slims on base last I checked and I could easily aquire one of those and sell the fatty to gamestop for some money at least. Very frustrating.

Games like Metal Gear Solid 4 and the recent God of War duology reissue work fine, presumably because they don't use trophies (MGS4) or don't require the preliminary trophy sync (God of War).

I hope that this also show Sony to understand that their whole backend process for trophies with the game trophy sync and the manual sync are bad. They should go visit Microsoft offices on how to better implement them.
