Re: Playstation Network and Discussion Part Deux

It's one of the best PS3 games in my book. Pure quality and with the expansion has just enough variety and length too. A retail disc version even came out.

Can't wait to see it in 3D! Apparently it's coming in time for the new Sony TV's which should be (expensive but) cool.

Did they tone down the difficulty with one of the patches?

Not sure but there are selectable difficulty options now, with Novice pretty pretty easy most of the way through.

Nice. I might give it a shot then at $10.

No idea why I typed "pretty pretty easy"

That's what a couple hours sleep will do to you...

On topic of PSN... played Final Fight the other night, had some guy online jump in and we went on to finish the game. I forgot how short the game was, when I was a kid I remembered it being super long and super tough

Still great fun though. Although I am a bit disappointed that there is slow down every now and then.

Upon booting your PlayStation 3, you will be prompted to download the newest firmware update that will add features to your PlayStation 3. In version 3.30 firmware, the update will prepare the PS3 for the upcoming 3D HDTV and add a Trophy Enhancement that everyone has been waiting for.
Take a peek on the full list of things that can be expected when the PS3 Firmware is downloaded.

Trophy enhancements –- Now you can more easily sort trophies in the [Trophy Collection] and [Comparing Trophy] sections. Sorting can be done with [Trophy Collection] in the [Game Category] and also when comparing trophies with your friends in the [Friend Category]

o Trophy Folder (Title List) can be sorted by game name/ by title according to the date in which you earned your last trophy (ascending/descending)

o Add-on list (Group list) can be sorted by original/the date in which you earned your last trophy (ascending/descending)

o Trophy list can be sorted by original/trophy name/grade/date of obtaining the trophy (ascending/descending)

But that would be giving people something they actually want, which is against Sony policy.

they may be holding it for a premium service, but it's like they don't really get why people like them in the first place. They've refused to allow 3rd party access to track trophies, which keeps them from being as social as the 360's achievements.

Also, the Skate 3 demo is impressive. New grounds, stable framerate (except in "camera mode"), and Hardcore mode is enough for me to want to get it.

I could have sworn WipeOut was always $9.99, but I guess not. Maybe I'll get it!
You know, I read these updates and see Zen Pinball get tables here and then. I always go "wow, those are the exact tables Pinball FX got". The Excalibur one, the SF2 one, etc.

Then I looked up and realized the same developer made both. LOL

nothing in this update excites me. Oh well...maybe next week.
I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.

I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(
