So who thinks they're going to be willing to shell out 50 bucks a year for Playstation+?

I need to see more specifics first. If it means more functionality i.e cross game chat, streaming music service, etc... then maybe. But if it's just discounts on games and early demo/beta access then meh.

i think the PSN network is really missing out on its movie's and not getting the point.

i really think they should have movie rentals for 2.99 instead of 5.99 and it would score big.

think of it not wasting gas and just ordering a brand new movie? instead of going to redbox.

if the psn+ had this type of discount it would be very good

Agree. I would be more willing to rent a movie if it was 2.99. I went to watch Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs and I think it was 7.99 to rent, I passed. The other offerings like, free games while subscribed and 1 hour demos are intriguing. I would rather try out a game for an hour then buy it.

Agreed. I think the TV shows are priced about right, but I'd like to see discounts offered if wanted to buy a complete season.

Two sorts of content -

Type 1 content which you will "still be able to access and use after your subscription period expires"

- Premium Avatars
- Premium theme

Type 2 content which you will "no longer be able to access and use after your subscription period expres"

- PSN games
- PSOne games
- Minis
- "Premium game elements"

"If you do not renew your subscription immediately...but later renew your subscription, you may lose your rights to access any type 2 content".

Subscriber content may be available for non subscribers to buy

Automatic download

- Can be activated by one account per PS3
- Provided the console is in standby and has an internet connection it will turn on "approximately every 48 hours" during a user-set time period - various firmware, patches, demos can be auto downloaded
- Firmware will not be installed until you yourself have accepted the T and Cs
- Game patches based on "games most recently played on your console"
- "There may be a limit on the number of auto downloaded game demos available per console at any one time"
- Once limit i reached, unaccessed demos could be deleted to make room
- Auto downloaded stuff which has not been accessed within one month may be auto deleted from the console
- Auto downloaded content "may not be downloaded" if there is less than 5GB of space, if the console is already on, or if firmware is out of date

Full game trials

- Length of trial specified in game description
- Must be connected to PSN when the game is booted for first time
- The trial period will run from the first boot up

Same, but something tells me it will expand a bit in the next few months after hearing some outcries (or at least improve). I'm only jumping on it early for the free three months after the first year, which they said was available for a limited time only.
