Video recording and uploading would be awesome! I think it would be on the cusp of the trends in gaming. Gamers want to be able to record footage and upload it in a quality manner, and some of us don't have proper capturing equipment. This is one reason I am really excited about Uncharted 2. If Sony could lock this type of thing for all their games, it would really be a great selling point.

P.S. I also agree about the photo capturing for every game. I loved that feature in the Show.

What would you guys like to see from PSN in the future? And/or what features are we lacking that you think we should include?

1) Prices for certain things need to come way down. I don't mind getting nickle and dimed, honestly I don't, but three bucks for a single episode of Family Guy (as just one example) is outrageous when I can go rent a disc with 10-15 episodes on it for just about the same price, not to mention watch it on TV or Hulu for free. Probably not your area, but it's my #1 pet peeve with the PSN right now.

2) Browser support. If the PS3's browser was up to snuff (seriously - links I can't click? forms I can't fill out? can't even open Killzone.com?), I would use it exclusively.

3) Not really my thing, but everyone else seems to really want cross-game chat.

Addressing those three things would push the PS3 experience into the stratosphere, imo.

The thing I think needs retooling the most is the navigational aspects. It's really hard to find stuff on there sometimes. I can't really explain it but I was lookin for the NHL demo and the only place I could find it was on the "most popular" page.

I think they should be sorted be genre or something of that nature. Just my 2 Lincolns.

I think making more rewards (such as themes, home items, even % off PSN stuff) for trophies would be cool. I know that's up to the devs, but Sony could kick start it.

Looking through others posts we are talking about Playstation Network correct?

1. Cross Game Chat. Text Chat is such a hassle.
2. Take a page from XBOX Live with Avatars and have us create a identity, instead of just a predefined picture we choose. Our own little virtual person that we could create and have that person run around in Home. Put things in the shop like Football Helmets or Hockey Jerseys or a guitar, etc; that people may purchase to outfit our character with.
3. How about more PSN Store updates during the week? and faster download times?

Sony in general needs to set standards. Stop letting developers run the show and half-a** everything, its bringing the PS3 down.

I agree with e0820, stop waiting until Thursday to update PSN. Why do we keep having to wait a week later for content to hit PSN compared to XBL, it's getting really annoying. For example the NBA live demo comes out a week later on PSN. This also happened with Madden, NHL, and the Dirt 2 demo. This is getting old fast and upsetting your customers. Let us use our home character as our avatar if we want to instead of the predefined pic. I know you have heard this one before. Custom soundtracks, pretty please.

well i do remember that the psn got the ncaa patch like a week or 2 earlier then xbox live

I think it's because Xbox Live owners pay for their subscription. It gives them some kind of benefit. But yeah, I agree, it gets old.

Is there a way to play music off your ipod through the XMB? I tried to connect my ipod to my PS3 but it doesn't work.
