Re: Playstation Network and Discussion Part Deux
Well I have a psp go and 120gb Slim PS3, both were activated and now there not, I can't activate them without getting and error code.
I only have one game on the PSP go and I can't play it, it's a game I downloaded.
Also, I can't download videos on my PS3, it acts as if it is going to download and then it reads activating and then "BOOM" error code.N.Y Mets

PSN Error Update
As you may be aware, some customers have been unable to connect to the PlayStation Network today. This problem affects the models other than the new slim PS3.
We believe we have identified that this problem is being caused by a bug in the clock functionality incorporated in the system.
Errors include:
* The date of the PS3 system may be re-set to Jan 1, 2000.
* When the user tries to sign-in to the PlayStation Network, the following message appears on the screen; “An error has occurred. You have been signed out of PlayStation Network (8001050F)”.
* When the user tries to launch a game, the following error message appears on the screen and the trophy data may disappear; “Failed to install trophies. Please exit your game.”
* When the user tries to set the time and date of the system via the Internet, the following message appears on the screen; “The current date and time could not be obtained. (8001050F)”
* Users are not able to playback certain rental video downloaded from the PlayStation Store before the expiration date.
We hope to resolve this problem within the next 24 hours. In the meantime, if you have a model other than the new slim PS3, we advise that you do not use your PS3 system, as doing so may result in errors in some functionality, such as recording obtained trophies, and not being able to restore certain data.
As mentioned above, Please be advised that the new slim PS3 is not affected with this error. We are doing our best to resolve the issue and do apologise for any inconvenience causedComment

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion Part Deux
T
I give up with this generation, in general gaming has been frustrating. It's like mistake after mistake, it makes you wonder where people will go come next generation. MS had their issues with the hardware being whack and Sony with their pricing, marketing being an issue. Trophy support was a nice addition, but as we see further evidence last night it was tacked on and could be a potential problem again in the future. Trophy support also brought down the single player aspect for the system............I hope they can patch this in some way so it doesn't ever happen again.
Did you remove the battery for 5-10 minutes as many have said?
The only game that's really impressed me thus far, is GTA IV, and COD series. But RPG games are not enough to make me buy a new system.Comment

Re: Playstation Network and Discussion Part Deux
Wow, seriously. Any time a company recommends we do not use their product is really bad.
I guess I'll just play my 360, thanks Sony!
Also, how does Sony allow there to be a shortage when this month has so many "system seller" games. The Show and GOW3 are huge, and while Heavy Rain may not be a complete system seller it's a damn good exclusive. Just don't get it.Nintendo Switch Friend Code: SW-7009-7102-8818Comment
