I don't like the Yankees, I like the Red Sox, I don't like the Lakers, I like the Celtics, I hate the Canadiens and I love the Bruins. Soccer is the best sport on Earth, but most Americans are too ignorant to realize it. I am American.

Re: Xbox Live Marketplace and Live Arcade discussion Part III
MS is stupid as hell...
BlowOut Coming to Xbox Originals
Not only is this a horrible game, but it actually released in 2003 for $9.99. So now they throw it on XBL years later for $15. This is in addition to crap like Zapper and some Intellivision collection.
MS is seriously ruining what could have been an incredible feature. They simply release xbox originals whenever the hell they choose, and they've all sucked lately. If they are going to keep this going and charge $15 per game, is it really so hard to at least put the best available xbox games on there? I understand they may not be able to do this with every game, due to licensing or contracts.
I agree 100%. I have never and will never buy an Xbox originals game. You can find most if not all in stores for cheaper. If they would've at least incorporated achievements into these games then maybe they would be slightly enticing.
M$ seriosuly screwed the pooch with this entire idea.Comment

Well, from a business standpoint, xbox originals makes sense for Microsoft. They get that used game money that Gamestop would normally get.follow me on twitter: www.twitter.com/eton_riflesComment

MS started out strong with titles like Psychonauts, Crimson Skies, Jade Empire, NG Black, Halo, and GTA San Andreas. The games they've put up lately are so horrible that it has to be licensing issues. Why else have they been scraping the bottom of the barrel lately for games that no one has heard of.Last edited by bkfount; 01-17-2009, 04:59 PM.Comment

Yes, the Xbox Originals give MS, and presumably the developers, money that gamestop would get from the sale of these type of older games. However, I doubt people are going into gamestop asking for BlowOut. People are taking issue with the game choices and price. MS probably sold more copies of Halo at 600 points recently than they had since they put it on XBL.

I was log onto my PS3 the other day and majority of their old titles were from $5.99 to $9.99 I don't see why Microsoft is charging so much for games we can get for cheap at a local Gamestop or Movie Trading Company!Comment

IGN: The Maw Review - 8.0
The Maw is a fine little romp for people who feel the platformer genre doesn't get enough respect these days. It's also a great game for parents searching for something to hand off to a young child. The Maw is fairly linear and there isn't a great amount of depth to it, but its two main characters are adorable and the pacing is spot on. The Maw is a well-crafted little game and the first of 2009 that is worth a look.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

LOL, The Maw is great. It's Feeding Frenzy meets a Mario 64 type game. Very colorful, my son was mesmerized by it.Comment

Rare Readies Banjo-Tooie for April
We already knew it was coming but Rare has finally revealed that Banjo-Tooie, the sequel to its revered N64 platformer, is set to appear on Xbox Live Arcade this April.
4J Studios, the team behind Banjo-Kazooie's original 360 update, is responsible for this upgraded sequel and Rare is promising "silky-smooth frame rates and super-sharp HD graphics", courtesy of that current-gen oomph.
More intriguingly, 4J Studios has implemented Rare's original, ambitious, Stop 'n' Swop plans for the series. Hardened Banjo fans no doubt recall the promise of inter-cart action back in the day, a feature plagued by all manner of issues until its eventual abandonment prior to the release of Tooie.
Thanks to the wonders of modern technology though, Stop 'n' Swop is finally here and certain items collected in Banjo-Kazooie will "magically" appear in Tooie, although Rare is remaining tight-lipped on their ultimate purpose.
All will be revealed, alongside a number of other promised secret features, this April.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment
