Re: Xbox Live Marketplace and Live Arcade discussion Part III
I'm feeling ripped lately. MS points are so stupid I can't get over it. I currently have 2090 points.
a) I could never spend what i have in total, nor redeem leftover pts for real cash
b) things are more expensive than they should be - 2800 points is equal to 39.99 cnd plus tax. So I can get 2 800 pt games and one 1200. that's too much. 200 pts for stupid things like gamer pics is WAY too much.
I thought when this thing started, we would be dealing in 'micro-transactions' - So it would be set up the same in that I pay less than a hundred bucks for thousands of points. BUT I expected to be able to get way more things and have then cost just a few points.
The notorious horse armour in oblivion I would have thought cost like 23 pts...or something similar. But now we have standard blocks. I think the cheapest thing I've seen is 80pts. Next stup up is 200 pts, then 400, then 800 then 1200.
IF it's going to be like this I'd rather be charged real money..so that all arcade games are 9.99 on the credit card. All game add-ons are 5.99, and all themes and pics are 1.99
the way that it is sucks and I'm very dissapointed w/ it.Liquor in the front, poker in the rear.Comment

I just don't like the points period. If I want some rock band songs, I can either add a minimum of 500 points through xbox live, or a 1600 point card. Why can't I just charge each song to my card? It forces you to spend more than you originally intended to buy points in bulk, then you have points left over just sitting there.Last edited by bkfount; 02-04-2009, 05:17 PM.Comment

Wallace & Gromit Coming to XBLA
Telltale Games is planning a push onto Xbox Live Arcade, and the developer has chosen its upcoming episodic series Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures to lead the way.
The title was previously announced for PC, but Telltale is now planning an XBLA version that will have an Xbox 360-specific control scheme but the same story, characters and gameplay as the PC version. Both will be released this spring.
"Our episodic series focus on story, character, humor, and cinematic presentation—very much like a television or film production. This all makes for a great living room experience through the gaming console," says Telltale CEO Dan Connors. "We're looking forward to expanding our catalog onto Xbox LIVE Arcade."
Telltale makes the Sam & Max serial adventure games and last year released the episodic game Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People on WiiWare and PC. Telltale plans to announce additional titles for Xbox Live Arcade in the coming months.Go Noles!!! >>----->Comment

I've been playing the Braid demo recently. It seems like a pretty cool game, but there's also some parts that just confuse the crap out of me.
Since I'm too lazy to go back through this thread and read all the previous posts, would you guys here now recommend the game?Last edited by ChubbyBanana; 02-06-2009, 05:32 AM.Comment
